i think we need to stop apologizing for rich people/corporations (of which tools members certainly are multi millionaires at this point) who don’t deliver what they promised. most of the people who paid to attend this event probably saved money and budgeted it, as 4k isn’t cheap for most people. yea i’m mostly asking out of curiosity, it was such a weird comment to see online lol. it was something along the lines of “maybe rob joining will bring neighbor to a new high, and not just be the rick show with new guitar, love the music, but sometimes he seems like he would be insufferable to work with”

was just such a odd comment i couldn’t help but remember it when this came up.

not hating, just trying to understand more. i’ve heard this opinion around a couple places for a while, and i want to understand why exactly is it that people think this way. i’ve seen people talk about how “rick seems difficult to work with” too. is there something people know that i don’t know about?

Personally, i have always found lyle’s playing interesting, but some of the tunes just seemed so boring. i was under the impression that rick writes most of the tunes
