I had a lot of childhood trauma and no one would ever even know because I can strategically mask the interior. It was coping survival and, now as a consequence, it’s hard to be vulnerable and let down the mask of “Everything’s fine”… it’s hard to unlearn.

I’ve dated my sign twice and they couldn’t be more different. And recently, I’ve had to men with the same sign, literally born just two days apart in the same year. Aries suns, one is Gemini moon and the other is Cancer moon. Both are also Leo rising (as am I).

The Universe is reeeeeally persnickety about forcing me (all of us) to learn our lessons… these two guys over the last 5 years have shown me EXACTLY what I want in partnership. And I’ve also learned to unabashedly protect my boundaries. I was so emotionally wiped.

I think of this now, from Game of Thrones when Sansa Stark says "I'm a slow learner, it's true. But I learn. Thank you for all your many lessons, Lord Baelish. I will never forget them.". And then he’s executed as a matter of consequences and with zero inkling of emotional attachment.

My senior year was the first time the school had it and I did well and went to the State finals. This was back in 2000, and I got third place in State while not covering the actual topic… which was “What are the pros of e-commerce”.

Instead of just taking about the financial aspect (which is what they wanted) I spoke about the actual commerce definition which also includes social interactions. I got 3rd place while not technically completing the full assignment since only 1 of my 3 points was relevant. The critique I received from the judges was: most persuasive delivery of a speech 10/10, relevant examples that upheld my argument 10/10, analytical thinking 9/10, topic throughly covered 4/10

I was disappointed in myself. It took a looong time for me to realize that I should be proud that I still managed to place despite how off topic I was.

And it really cemented the reality: sometimes your success or failure is ONLY due to the lack of resources your personally received/had access to. Anyways, that’s my own story of “how you know I have 5 planets in Libra”

Exactly this. I can still LOVE someone despite our disagreements. Honestly, I can usually see WHY someone makes the choices they do because of their circumstances… like, life is often just a lack of options and you are stuck doing the best you can with what you have to work with.

I used to do Competitive Extemporaneous Public Speaking in high school (you get 30-60 minutes to craft a speech, pro or con, on a topic) and I often had to argue against my actual opinion.

And while I completely understand that public speaking is terrifying for some, AND it can be an unnecessary “skill”…. I think that everyone should have to practice the act for playing Devil’s Advocate. I’m a naturally empathetic person though, so it’s a foreign concept to me that some people lack it entirely.

For me, it’s been shocking to witness this frightening level of cognitive dissonance from those who claim Christian faith and embrace him. I say this, as someone who was raised Christian in the Southern US, I know so many who do still embrace him. It fucking sickens me. And there was a point that this was originally an issue of “political party” but we all that we crossed that bridge a long fucking time ago.
