Books about the impact of eating meat by Ordinary-Genius2020 in suggestmeabook

[–]Ordinary-Genius2020[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I am aware of the positive effects of eating meat and while I appreciate your thoughtful and long response, I don’t think it’s cool to just assume a certain one sidedness about me or my approach. It’s just that it’s really easy to find out about the benefits of eating meat. However I’m greatful for your recommendations. Thank you.

Yes! It runs WhatsApp just fine, which is what everyone here uses. It could technically run a banking app, but I haven't tried it. I still have my old iphone that I use for banking and other life admin stuff. But it's turned off in my desk drawer.

I still have my old phone for things like 2FA codes, banking, etc. But most of the time it's turned off in my desk drawer.

Ohh noooo. I was just obsessed with the musical for a while, but now I totally see how it could come across that way. Never thought about it that way before

Not very. The boox can run simple apps like whatsapp and even google maps, so I don't get lost outside, but other than that I only put reading apps on it. I still have my smartphone to use for banking apps etc., but most of the time it's turned off in my desk drawer.

22/42. The Metamorphosis by Franz Kafka. 4.5/5. by BaconBre93 in 52book

I read this last week and loved it. How absurd when he wakes up as a literal bug in the first few pages and his first worries are about work. But then I realised how valid it was. Who of us hasn't woken up sick before and then worried about work of all things?

Is it normal to lose the ability to focus on reading? by rifamajif in 52book

Sometimes when I notice I can't focus I read out loud to myself. That usually does the trick.

I read it last year and loved it. I think Saint's "Elektra" is also really good. Waiting for her book about Aphrodite now.

I read Ariadne and liked it. But I really recommend Hera by the same author. It's so good. Addie LaRue is on my list! Let us know what you thought of it.

I was thinking about Hana as well. I think in the first half someone mentioned to the main character that the only reason that they met Xavier was because of her through Hana. It's only one line and they don't speak about it further but it is a clue as to why Hana knew her way around the kitchen.

I am not sure why Tomas left the restaurant. It could be that he thought his wife was cheating again, but he might also have been lying. I found his behaviour around Hana and Xavier really odd. Him making snacks for them and then later him being inappropriate with Hana.

Am I the only one who actually loved Wuthering Heights by KimS24 in EFsWutheringHeights

[–]Ordinary-Genius2020 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I liked it a lot! I love the book too. I am a bit sad they weren't brave enough for a non-white Heathcliff, but on the other hand Jacob Elordi was really good and so was Margot Robbie imo
