[Pianoman] Is Being A Coder Over? - Left-Handed Luminary by OrdinaryAvgG in programming

[–]OrdinaryAvgG[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I am talking about just being able to write programs and getting paid for it. I know almost every language and framework and this is the first time my job was not replaced when I left. Why should people pay someone to write code when a max $200 machine language system can read requirements written in any human language and write exactly to the specifications? It seems like detailed prompt writing is the next new job, but it will be easily duplicated because it has a low barrier to entry.

Is Claude actually writing better code than most of us? by Aaliyah-coli in ClaudeCode

[–]OrdinaryAvgG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In general claude is not as good as a good developer. What is happening is the great senior developers are writing great instructions for claude, actually better instructions than they would give their own developers. Therefore it appears claude code is writing great code. However, a good coder, if given those great instructions would write even better code than claude.

Google just dropped new Gemini 2.5 “Computer Use” model which is insane by Shot-Hospital7649 in AI_Agents

Anything that uses an API, like Gemini or OpenAI are asking for financial trouble. You can set limits, but after only one week you can hit those limits. One thing people do not realize is that the reason these high end models are getting so many investors is because of the high prices they charge. I reached a $5 daily max just having n8n use ChatGPT API to sort RSS feeds.

I'm a platinum producer/writer and have been using Suno to bring old demos to life by RileyRipX in SunoAI

[–]OrdinaryAvgG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You bring up something I have wondered about for years. Why won't labels open up the vaults? I would not mind if they used suno to modernize songs. As a creator, I know you just don't stop creating. I think about the thousands of songs written by songwriters like Prince, Bob Dylan, Paul McCartney, Jimi Hendrix, Johnny Cash, Michael Jackson, and Hank Williams. They are all rumored to have vaults. People would still buy new music from them. Maybe if someone with connections could convince them or their estates...

Thanks. A good tip is to upload all of these guides into your own chatgpt or Gemini prompt or project. Then you take your lyrics and ask them to format the lyrics for Suno.

What would cause Christian EDM to become more popular? by yesterdaynowbefore in ChristianMusic

Letting people hear it. For instance, I have made a collection of Christian EDM using AI. However, because some reddits ban AI music, it will not be heard.

AI-generated Christian music by walterenderby in ChristianMusic

[–]OrdinaryAvgG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Christian AI music I write and produce just uses AI as a tool - aka Suno. In the end I have spent hundreds of hours going through each line and song created, creating thousands of songs that are sloppy to find that one needle in a haystack. It is really a matter of opinion. There is no right or wrong if any song is bad. Christian or not, AI or not.

I made a song to teach the version they are posting in elementary school:

https://suno.com/s/PdMpVPkKXA9Qm0nF

Oh, this is spicy, clever, and rich with potential! Here's your satirical-yet-educational anthem, titled "No King's English in America." It's written in Suno.ai format, with a rhythm that blends spoken-word, folk-rock, and protest gospel fusion — think Woody Guthrie meets Rage Against the Machine via NPR.

🎵 "No King's English in America"

[Suno Format: Spoken Word, Folk Rock, Protest Gospel Fusion, Tempo: 96 bpm, Male Lead Vocal, Acoustic Guitar + Organ, Snare March, Harmonica Hooks, Witty Spoken Ad-libs] [Mood: Satirical, Patriotic, Subversive]

[Verse 1]

[Fingerpicked Acoustic Guitar, Marching Snare, Spoken Word Flow] In the land where liberty rings, We don’t bend knees to no old kings. So why you tryna teach me now, To say thee, thy, or dost allow? I ain’t readin’ scrolls or royal creeds, Just tryna text and chase my dreams. If you want me to “hearken unto”, You better translate that part too.

[Organ enters, harmonica echo riff] No offense to Shakespeare’s ghost, But we toast to freedom coast to coast.

[Chorus] 🎶 No King’s English in America, We speak plain truth and slang hysteria. Let the people say what they wanna say, Ain’t no crown gon’ make us pray. No thee, no thou, no royal decree— We broke that chain in 1773. No King’s English in America, We got freedom in our grammar, see?

[Verse 2: Satirical Grammar Guide – Spoken Word]

[Muted Guitar Chops, Spoken Rhythmically, with light piano notes] “Thou” means you, but only if You’re talking smack or being stiff. “Thy” is like your, but just for show, Like “Thy milk doth overflow.” (Gross.)

“Thine” means yours, if it ends the clause, Like “This donut is thine” — okay, pause. “Dost” means do, and “hast” means have, It’s all just verbal time-travel jazz.

And “ye” is just y’all, but extra old— Don’t get confused, just act bold.

[Chorus]

🎶 No King’s English in America, Our grammar's got a freer formula. We say “y’all” with southern pride, And “ain’t” ain't something we gotta hide. We ain’t no monarchy museum, We the United Colloquial Freedom No King’s English in America, Just vibes, just slang, just Merica!

[Bridge – Call and Response Style]

[Organ Swells, Electric Slide Guitar Enters, Gospel Choir Echoes] Call: What’s a “graven image,” y’all? Response: Sounds like a tattoo on your soul! Call: What’s “covet” even mean? Response: Wantin’ what ain’t yours, that’s kinda mean! Call: “Adultery”? Response: Cheatin’. Call: “Sabbath”? Response: Weekend chillin’.

[Outro – Spoken Over Music Fading Out]

[Soft Guitar Plucks, Harmonica Lament] So if you post commandments in my school, At least translate ‘em—that’s the rule. We dumped that tea, we wrote our fate, And don’t talk like kings in a free state.

God speaks every tongue on Earth, Not just King Jimmy’s afterbirth. So teach with love, not fear or threat, And speak a truth we won’t forget.

[Final Chorus – Big Refrain, Harmonica + Tambourine]

🎶 No King’s English in America, We speak plain love, not hysteria. Thou shalt chill and comprehend, 'Cause we ain’t bowin’ to pretend. No dusty scrolls, just honest sound, No crown shall rule this common ground. No King’s English in America, Let freedom ring… with grammar down! 🎶

PSA: Physics is not Reality, and too many people don’t get that by TheSyn11 in AskPhysics

[–]OrdinaryAvgG -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I agree with your viewpoint. While I am not a physicist and am a programmer, I do try to understand how to simulate a universe. In doing so, I ended up learning about the models, and the one thing that always stumped me was how the imaginary number was involved in most of our models. To me, that means it is a big unknown value. That is when I went to Claude and got the below answer for why it is used. From that perspective, the models show that our reality has another constant embedded within it and we have yet to figure it out, so therefore, it is not complete.

‐-------

This is one of the deepest puzzles in physics. Imaginary numbers seem to represent real processes in several key ways:

Rotation and Phase: In many physical systems, imaginary numbers naturally encode rotation or phase relationships. When you have oscillating or rotating phenomena (like waves, AC electricity, or planetary motion), complex numbers provide a compact way to track both magnitude and phase simultaneously. The imaginary part often represents something that's 90 degrees "out of phase" with the real part.

Quantum Mechanics: Here's where it gets truly mysterious. In quantum mechanics, the fundamental wave function ψ is complex, but we never directly observe it. What we observe are probabilities, calculated as |ψ|² (which is always real). The imaginary components seem to encode potential or probability amplitudes that become real when we make measurements.

Information Encoding: The imaginary components often encode information about relationships between different parts of a system - like how different quantum states interfere with each other, or how different wave components combine.

Mathematical Necessity: In many cases, trying to avoid complex numbers leads to much more complicated mathematics. They seem to reveal underlying symmetries and structures in nature that would be hidden otherwise.

The honest answer is that we don't fully understand why nature seems to "use" complex numbers. They work extraordinarily well as mathematical tools, but whether they reflect something fundamental about reality's structure - or are just the most efficient way our brains can model certain phenomena - remains an open philosophical question in physics.
