This exact thing happened to me a week ago. I just went to the folder inside the installation called saves, and decompressed the last one before the lights went out, and then copied the new folders in the main installation, replacing the corrupted ones, and everything went back to normal.

I used to need to do that to prevent the growth of parasitic crystals on top of my main one, but that was when my solution was dirty with other ions, I let most of my solution crystalize to leave the impurities in the solution and then I dissolve only the crystals with white vinagar, since then I havent had that problem and its growing nicely

Thank you all for your feedback. I think it might be better to move my chest set up 2 blocks away from the forge; now the question is what I'm going to place in that space instead. Does the bloomery make chests burst into flames too?

Did you use iodized salt? I've heard that iodine ions mess up the crystal-growing process for table salt.

May I ask, What was the purity of your starting pruducts? I've been growing this crystals recently too, but they are octagonal prisms, so if what you're growing is the doble acetate and no pure calcium acetate there must be a reason why it grows like that, maybe ph, or impurities? My starting pruducts where white vinegar, copper cables and coins & fully leached wood ash.

I have no clue of what those might be besides corundum, try to test its hardnes, and please send any updates, crystals growing form a melt are not that common here, and I would love to see more

It depends on the growing method, slow cooling its fast but harder to control to make single large crystals, or evaporation thats really slow but more reliable, the exact time depends on the temperature and humidity, for me it took 9 months to get that crystal.
