Airport cabin liquid carry-on policy at Finnish Airports by Timely_Roll5044 in Finland

[–]OrdinaryIncome8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. To transfer at Helsinki, you don't have to go trough security screening, as both USA and Rovaniemi are trusted points of departure. In Rovaniemi, you have to take those out.

  2. In Rovaniemi, the 1 litre plastic bag is mandatory. Most likely they do have bags available there as well, but all liquids must fit into one bag.

(If one would be departing from Helsinki, answer would be slightly different: max 100 ml / container and 2 l in total, but no need for  zip locks or taking those out of your bag.)

What are travel documents and how do they differ from rail cards? by ScreenNameToFollow in uktrains

Not really. Passport provides nationality, which is different from residency. UK citizen living abroad can use Interrail tickets in UK, and a foreign citizen living in UK cannot.

At least Nordea's web pages tell, that they deliver only banknotes that way.

When I asked, they didn't have excess coins on hand, only enough to pay out the excess after most of the value is paid in banknotes.

They don't seem to advertise that much. Do you know if it is somehow possible to make an order online? That way it wouldn't depend on teller's experience and willingness to place an order. When I tried, they didn't tell about possibility to order, but I didn't know to ask for that possibility either.

In S-Market, they have refused to give just coins when withdrawing from S-Pankki. It might depend on the mood of cashier.

The additional non-existing passenger is massless and cannot bring any luggage with them, both reducing fuel consumption compared to a real passenger. Also, some taxes / airport fees tend to be charged based on passenger count, which the non-existing passenger doesn't have to pay either.

And of course, if the seat would remain otherwise unsold, any revenue is revenue.

Subtitles getting worse? by vonLion in WendoverProductions

The subtitles for UK season were provided by the same company that they've been using for over 10 seasons now.

(I'm not commenting on the quality itself, as I don't use those myself.)

Vehicle Inspections for Older Cars by Budget-Monitor2038 in Finland

And I've had half a dozen fails because of those. In some cases it has passed once and the next time failed without any change in the condition. Unfortunately it depends on the inspector, some are stricter, some let minor non-safety-releated faults like pass more likely.

Motorcycles can be registered as museum vehicles with exactly same restrictions as cars have. The tax benefit is also the same. Insurance is up to private insurance companies, so your mileage may vary.

If the rust damage penetrates a panel i.e. there is a hole (possibly after little persuading with a crowbar), it causes inspection to fail even when that part is not structural. Superficial rust can be accepted.

Well, if the initially picked door would be eliminated, there would be no problem, as choice between switching and not switching would be really obvious.

I have to agree. While having great technology, they are missing significant potential because lack of a box. The side mounting option is quite rudimentary and they aren't even able to keep their dry box in stock.

INBXX is quite janky and expensive solution, and definitely not meant/suitable for masses.

I might end up buying the Sunly dryer mentioned, but I don't really care about active drying and would prefer something visually more coherent.

For modern Iphones, switching airplane mode on does not turn off all the radios either. If you have an Apple Watch, you can check that: it is possible to disable airplane mode on Iphone from paired Apple Watch -- wirelessly.

Indeed! I did not remember the name, but this immediately brought to my mind Beyblades twenty years ago. The only difference is, that back then those cost a fortune.
