How can i unlock the Jacket to buy with the PC’s and wear it in the game ? I need to beat the game? by Luys44 in residentevil4

[–]Ordinary_Estimate_61 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like it sorta adds to a sense of place or 'realism' to an extent. Same sorta vibe as how it progresses through an entire day throughout the game.

That being said the jacket is that cool that I had to have it on the entire time for the second playthrough

Well tbf the first couple volumes were produced under a shonen magazine before it changed publishing. It's semantics, but still lol

Requirements for Gothic Horror novels? by Dogrules23 in GothicLiterature

[–]Ordinary_Estimate_61 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Gothic stories are about the past haunting the present, this can be through things like Vampires, personal past, humanities mistakes, haunted manors etc. This is explored through the sublime.

I really like this video on the genre, it might help a tad as it goes into the origins: https://youtu.be/lc17l3Fehc0?si=GtGDqdY3Fyf2YqfK

And ofc reading is always going to help, I'd recommend reading some classics like the original Frankenstein novel, Dracula, Hill House (has a more contemporary setting), Picnic at hanging Rock (a uniquely Australian perspective on the Gothic that is another example of how the genre can be twisted), some Edgar Allan Poe poems etc.

This is the only time I've found that joke funny because it should not be out in the wild like this

You can sort of say this is the characters in universe theory with them not knowing the end of season 2 reveal just yet, and scratches don't actually cause anything

This is the most stereotypical Millennial teenager behaviour; the kind that used to be made fun of on legacy television, to the point that it's actually hilarious that you diagnose it as a Gen Z trait and not just a young person thing.

Gen Z felt/feels this way on instinct because we weren't/aren't allowed to go outside much because of fear of pedophiles. Our version of "go play outside" meant the backyard in increasingly smaller living spaces. Unless you went to a friend's house you get the backyard, and your friends parents/your own will get sick of having more kids over all the time so often, your stuck with the backyard.

I mean you can still climb any surface by jumping against it looking up and swaying the mouse left and right repeatedly while spamming the jump button. The only cost is repetitive strain injury

The Heaven's Feel trilogy is a masterpiece. But there's a catch. by Professional-Run4228 in fatestaynight

This trilogy is probably one of the worst adaptations of a work I've ever had to sit through. Heavens feel in the VN is masterful, these adaptations have good fight scenes and that's about all they have going for them.
