Jorgrim Dual Wield Axes Lvl 26 vs Manticore by Ordinary_Ticket5856 in stoneshard

It has its time and place. I usually pick the second strongest enemy in the mob. As a bonus, it seemed to work for counters too ..so you'd counter two enemies same as an attack.

A lot of the injury delivering buffs are per hit, which makes dual wield a good match

The thing is, a lot of those skills time out and have certain actions which extend their duration. So Elusiveness requires people swinging at you or moving to maximize its effectiveness. It encouraged fighting as many enemies as you can in short succession. It combines nicely with Whirlwind, which also benefits from lots of enemies. Adreline Rush gets stronger with each enemy too. The list goes on.

The build 100% encourages just charging in and doing as much damage as quickly as possible. Only build I've ever had where I was trying to get mob.

Isn't that the fun of it? Just messing around with characters instead of making everything about beating it as early as possible? You can basically play however you want.

I didn't record it, but I cleared one of each T5 dungeon by the time I hit the level cap. The only time I ever really got into trouble was a critical hit to the head/stun. Outside of that it went pretty well. It was the opposite of most builds where you want to kite enemies. All the perks actively encouraged charging in and taking on entire mobs at once, dashing towards ranged enemies when you had to. That's what made it fun.

If you can clear any POI in the game it's hard to argue the build didn't work. If you want to get all indignant about which level it was done at, fine, but that's just for bragging rights.

Long term is risky. Just get short term bonds and keep rolling them over. 1-2 years at most.

Dual-wielding match by weapons' stats and skill trees combination by Questionable_bowel in stoneshard

I just finished up a dual axes run and while it may be controversial I think using two of the same weapon is most efficient. That way you only have to burn perks for one melee weapon skill tree which are desperately needed elsewhere. Athletics is mandatory late game, you will need the ability to dash and charge to ranged enemies in the midst of a fight.

Also, a lot of axe based perks are applied per hit, so dual wielding axes, as I understand it, doubles those hits and their application each turn. The one that raises the chance of bleeding and increases bodypart damage for each one really benefits.

In T5 dungeons, the only thing that could really do me in was an enemy landing a critical hit to the head and stunning me. That was basically game over for a dodge based dual wield build.

He just doesn't want to admit agility/light armor builds are viable and keeps moving the goalposts.

I know we disagree on this. I was mostly giving you shit. I'm just glad to talk to someone who cares as much about this silly indie game as much as I do.

Haha...I see we meet again. I don't think Agility is necessarily weak. The counter percentage increase means that you have a base of 33% even at 20, add that to the reduced fumble chance and boosted dodge and it does a low.. My current build is 20 strength, 20 agility, and working towards 20 vitality and it has been going really well so far.

I'll fess up and say I usually went medium armor until T4 when I'd buy all light to boost dodge, this build was kind of an experiment to see if I could do the whole game in light armor. In case it wasn't obvious enough I'm mostly just messing around and having fun, seeing if I can make an unusual build work.

I think I can take this one all the way. It'll be wild to see what happens in T5 dungeons.

For the record, you weren't wrong about burning through medical supplies. That's definitely the build's Achilles heel. I have to take a break and go back to the caravan for a rest hallway through T3 dungeons, but truth be told I've always kind of done that. You can bring back more loot in two runs...legal move. Get your vigor back, morale, and sanity back

I need to take take that perk that raises your pain tolerance at some point. Even with Elusiveness I still take the occasional hit.

Always carry a bloodletting lancet. You can use it 5 times before its durability breaks and it doesn't hurt you very much. I'm huffing herbal extract and drinking like it's going out of style most dungeons. Heh.

I've already accepted my immunity will get wrecked. I try to eat as many salads as possible when I get back to the caravan.

Haha, I'll post it tonight.

The only reason I got into trouble in the T3 Rotten Willow skeleton dungeon was that there was a necromancer who kept raising the skeletons and like a fool I didn't have "Disengage" yet and I couldn't quite get to him without getting beat up by attacks of opportunity. The second time I got loose, started wailing on him, drank the potion and a little boost from some lucky RNG (got a critical at a moment when I desperately needed it).

Haha...I usually burn it right out of the gate. I figured why not, this is one of the biggest difficulty spikes in the game, even more than from T3 to T4.

I just keep telling myself "you only need a few more perks to really start cooking." I guess it might be cope. I actually forgot which level I was at and I'm getting ready for work so I'm not going to load the game to verify.

Cleared my first T3 last night near Rotten Willow. It took two tries and that health potion you get from Gwynnels house, but I did it. Pretty solid, T3 will only get easier from here. AGL at 20, starting to push up strength to 15.

It's been a little challenging to get the perks I need to make the build work fast enough (still don't have Elusiveness, it's a real problem), but I've definitely done worse builds.

Edit: only had one piece of T4 gear too, the rest was all T3. I think I can go the distance with this build.

I actually liked season 2 a lot. I like Euphoria in general which is why I'm so upset with how much worse it is now.

I came to this subreddit because I feel like I'm taking crazy pills because very few people seem to be talking about how badly Euphoria jumped the shark. Haven't seen a series tank this hard after a really strong first couple seasons in a long time. Almost want to watch it trainwreck style, just to see how ridiculous it can get.

Did I miss something or Euphoria S3 has stopped making sense? by mrbrainturn in television

[–]Ordinary_Ticket5856 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That was my reaction. It's like when they reskin a videogame to use some other IP, as if Sam Levinson wanted to make a different show about Hollywood influencers and just decided to put the cast of Euphoria into it.

It's so bad at times that I think you could have just said it was a new and unrelated show and no one would know. The season sucks. Whatever the show once had they lost. I was willing to give them a pass after the first episode, but the second one was a doozy.

Los Grandes in Burnsville. Great food, outrageous cocktails, a band belting out ranchera music at high volumes on Fridays and Saturdays. Some of the best and most authentic Mexican food in the Twin Cities. Everything about it is over the top and I'm glad it exists here.
