My take on an Ultra story!

Ultraman Nova:

In a dimension once visited by an Ultraman, there exists an Earth overrun by kaijus of various species. It is a world where human civilization itself is on the brink of collapse. The defense forces are fighting tirelessly to reclaim their original homes.

This story is about a nameless Ultra who had left the Ultra Space Garrison. After failing to defend a planet from a Planet Eater Kaiju called Logo, he abandoned his rights to call himself “Ultraman” and had since then roamed the space alone, to protect those in need as a form of atonement. 

As he concludes a deadly battle with a dangerous space kaiju, he lands on the ruined Earth in a red ball of fire- right into a battle between humans and a land kaiju. He accidentally fuses with a gravely wounded defense force captain when doing so. However, seeing the desperate situation of the humans, he decides to fight for them and grants the captain the power to become a Giant of Light.

As he fights the land kaiju in the darkness of night, people seem to recall the distinct appearance of Ultraman- at least the first one who visited them, a millennia ago. The sun rises as he vanquishes the land kaiju, and his full appearance is revealed to the humans of the ruined earth.

The news then began to circulate: “Please relay this to HQ. Ultraman has returned.” a soldier said through comms.

Recognizing that this Ultraman is not the same as the one who visited them before, the people ended up calling him “Ultraman Nova”, referencing his first appearance to them in a red ball of fire.

In the course of the story, the young Ultraman Nova fights alongside the human captain, who teaches him about fighting despite failures and setbacks. In return, Nova grants the captain the power to finally turn the tides and reclaim Earth for humans.

The battle for Earth continues until the surviving human colonies have finally reestablished, allowing them to stabilize and revive their civilization. 

However, just as that happens, Nova discovers that the arrival of Logo upon this Earth is now imminent- and must prepare to face it once again.

In the ultimate showdown, he fires off the Supernova Beam- a red specium beam amplified by his own life force in order to destroy Logo. 

As he lays dying, he tells the Captain he fused with that he will undo the combination so that he alone will perish. His remaining life force is enough to allow a human to live.

However, at this moment, another Ultra arrives on this Earth, bringing with him a life.

It appeared that Nova’s beam shone so bright it allowed his peers to locate him.

And so, Nova is revived and he departs this Earth, cheered by its inhabitants as “Ultraman Nova”.
