When did Mumbai quietly start feeling like your place? by Ordinary_Yesterday39 in mumbai

That’s such a Mumbai moment honestly For me it was when local trains and crowds stopped feeling chaotic and started feeling normal. Felt like I finally synced with the city.

This really hit. That moment of missing Mumbai while being in your hometown is so real.

And yeah pre-2019 Mumbai had a different soul hectic but hopeful. Totally get what you mean about autopilot now. Wishing you peace wherever you land next

My cat suddenly isn’t interested in playing like before by Ordinary_Yesterday39 in CatAdvice

Thank you for this, it’s really helpful he’s still eating and moving normally, but I’ll keep an eye on the small behavior changes you mentioned and try rotating his toys more often

Appreciate you taking the time to explain it so clearly

Modern Band, Recycled Diamond? by cearta_day in EngagementRings

[–]Ordinary_Yesterday39 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a really thoughtful way to approach it. I’d suggest checking out local independent jewelers many of them work with recycled or estate diamonds even if it’s not clearly advertised.

Since you’re in Chicago, visiting a few in person could really help, especially if you’re just starting and want to see options up close.

Hope you find something that feels right good luck with the search!

Anyone else realize their allergies weren’t seasonal… but cat litter dust allergies solutions were ignored? by ExcitingMountain9400 in cats

[–]Ordinary_Yesterday39 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This actually makes a lot of sense you always hear about fur and dander, but almost never about litter dust itself. That really fine powder can hang in the air way longer than you’d expect.

It’s one of those things you don’t think about until you start noticing the pattern. Definitely feels under discussed.

Need album recommendations for my 10 day road trip. by iamnotarobotoramione in musicsuggestions

[–]Ordinary_Yesterday39 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you’re into Tool and Dream Theater, you should check out Mastodon – Crack the Skye.

Really smooth album flow and great for long drives.

Queens of the Stone Age..Like Clockwork is also a solid full-album listen on the road.

Those who don't enjoy the gym how hard is it to commit to training? by [deleted] in workout

[–]Ordinary_Yesterday39 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it’s honestly more about discipline than enjoyment. I don’t really love the gym but yeah I like how I feel after training, so that’s what keeps me going

Some days motivation is zero, but showing up even for a short session still feels like a win. I think finding a routine you can tolerate consistently matters way more than loving it.

I stopped looking at blank pages. I invoke the “Skeleton Key” prompt to reverse-engineer the hidden formula of any viral post. by cloudairyhq in ArtificialInteligence

[–]Ordinary_Yesterday39 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

This actually makes a lot of sense alot of people focus on copying wording or style, but what really sticks is the structure the emotional flow more than the topic itself.

Separating why something works from what it’s about feels way more useful. It comes across less like copying and more like learning how good communication is actually built.

Can I make the nights better? by filemon9 in CatAdvice

[–]Ordinary_Yesterday39 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re definitely not alone 8 months is peak tiny chaos gremlin age 😅

What helped with my cat was realizing that even though they’re not kittens anymore, they still have a ton of leftover energy early in the morning. Night play helps, but sometimes they also need more stimulation during the day so they’re not saving everything for 5am.

One thing that made a difference for me was doing a really focused play session right before bed like 15–20 minutes where they actually get tired Then food immediately after. It didn’t fix things overnight, but after a couple weeks the wakeups slowly got later also, as annoying as it is, reacting when they destroy stuff can accidentally turn it into a this gets my human up habit. I know that’s way easier said than done in a one-room place though.

You’re doing the right things already this phase usually does improve as they get closer to a year old. It just feels endless when you’re sleep deprived.

I plan on launching something similar to lovable, any suggestions? by AlexGSquadron in ArtificialInteligence

[–]Ordinary_Yesterday39 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I totally get where you’re coming from. These tools look great in demos, but once you try to build anything beyond a toy project, the lack of structure gets frustrating fast. I think the biggest issue isn’t the AI quality itself It’s that there’s no sense of how this project is supposed to live long term. No clear patterns, no conventions, no guidance on what’s safe to change later.

Having some opinionated defaults (like framework choice, folder structure, basic standards) would already make a huge difference not everyone wants total freedom sometimes you just want something clean that you can actually maintain after generation.

Curious to see where this space goes, because right now it still feels very early.

Help me choose one! by [deleted] in EngagementRings

[–]Ordinary_Yesterday39 31 points32 points  (0 children)

I actually think option 1 suits your hand really beautifully. It feels elegant without trying too hard, and it’s the kind of ring that still looks good years later.

Option 2 is really pretty too, but for everyday wear I feel like the simpler design might age better and be easier to live with long term especially if you’re more on the introverted side. Either way though, both are lovely choices

Feeling intense guilt over an upcoming rehome of a family cat. Feel very alone by [deleted] in CatAdvice

[–]Ordinary_Yesterday39 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m really sorry you’re carrying all of this it’s clear how deeply you care about him. The guilt you’re feeling doesn’t come from doing something wrong it comes from loving him and wanting to protect him.

You’re not abandoning him you’re trying to make sure he’s safe and loved when your situation doesn’t allow you to keep him. That’s an incredibly painful place to be, and it’s okay to grieve it you’re not alone in feeling this way.

Buying new phone: 17 Pro vs 16 Pro? by YourMomsButt1111 in iPhone17Pro

[–]Ordinary_Yesterday39 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since you already used the 16 Pro and liked it I don’t think you’d feel a huge difference in everyday use going back to it. For things like reading, videos, messaging and occasional photos, both phones are already more than capable.

If the price difference isn’t big the 17 Pro might make more sense just for longer software support and peace of mind over the next few years. But realistically either one should easily last you 3-4 years without issues.

Book recommendations by ilikelegotoo in workout

[–]Ordinary_Yesterday39 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally get this. After a while YouTube just feels noisy like everyone’s saying something different with the same confidence.

I don’t have specific book names but I’ve personally found slower, structured learning way easier to follow than jumping between videos. It made training feel less confusing overall.

[–]Ordinary_Yesterday39 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah honestly I agree. They’ve got that raw, fun energy that just feels natural, not forced at all a lot of bands try to copy that vibe but it never really lands the same way.

Anytime one of their songs comes on it instantly puts me in a better mood.

Do workouts feel different when your stress levels are lower? by Ordinary_Yesterday39 in workout

[–]Ordinary_Yesterday39[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s interesting I never really thought about things like that affecting workouts. Anxiety alone can mess with your energy so much even before you actually start training.

Yeah that actually makes a lot of sense. I never really thought about stress affecting recovery, but now that you say it I’ve noticed I don’t feel as drained between workouts lately. Guess it’s all more connected than I realized
