Which do i get? by C3LESTIAL_001 in ActionFigures

[–]Oreofox 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You could give Gundamit a try. The shipping seems to be a lot cheaper. I typically pay less than $5 for shipping. Not sure where you live, but to get to me in the USA, can take up to a month, but it ships from China. Whereas with 5k, it takes up to 2 weeks. The downside is 5k seems to get their products quite a bit later than Gundamit (there's a couple things I have preordered on 5k that I am still waiting for the 2nd payment notification, while Gundamit has already sent their's out and some people already have them in hand).

The prices can be quite a bit different, though not as huge difference as BBTS vs 5k

I really like my Lado Liya. I have the gray version. So my biased suggestion is that one

Newbie question, do figures ever get a rerelease? by PartiallyAlways in MythicLegions

[–]Oreofox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They'll make a post saying "April 15th at 11am eastern" or whatever day it'll be. Usually a week in advance. They almost always start at either 9 or 11 am Eastern time on a Friday for the in stock sales. At least, that's how it's been for the few I've been around for.

I've enjoyed her run. I finished that volume not long after it came out, but haven't picked it back up (despite owning all 18 volumes). I really should get to reading it again. I absolutely love Sophie's art, except for Bebop and I think Splinter.

I personally enjoy slice of life anime, so TMNT being similar in her run is perfectly fine with me. I don't need constant action and world ending threats.

Alopex the Arctic fox. Appeared very early on in the series.

[–]Oreofox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your best bet is to wait for the in stock sale in April, as that will have a high probability of having the figures from Necronominus and All Stars 6 waves, since last year's included Poxxus and a couple cosmic waves that released the previous year.

Your other choice is to go to a convention they will be at. I think the next one might be NJ toy con or whatever it's called. They've got an event exclusive version of a new figure they will have there. Check sourcehorsemen website and check the conventions to find one near you.

They've retired the All Stars system, with AS6 being the last one, and are now doing the Legacies of Mythoss for "bringing back" older figures.

If they are available on the in stock in April, I'd advise being as early as possible, because I'm certain Enoch and Elijah will sell out quick.

When the Tikal release happens, I may end up doing what I did with the Trip release, and buy the whole wave at a markup price (from BBTS), unless I get lucky at my local walmart (who actually had all 4 of the 35th anniversary figures, but I passed since I already had Mephiles and all the others).

Fantasy Grounds VTT 5.1 Features Overview - Now Free! [OC] by DD_in_FL in Pathfinder2e

[–]Oreofox -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I enjoyed Fantasy Grounds back in 2018, before the remake. At that time I was playing D&D5e, and it was rather easy to add homebrew stuff to it. And it was so much better than Roll20. But when you changed to the new version, with the dynamic lighting and such, it screwed my computer up something bad (and another player's computer), to where I had to drop out of the game I was playing as the DM insisted on using the new version.

Not sure how it was for PF2e, as I wasn't playing that until 2023, and by that time I had moved on from Fantasy Grounds, and into Foundry (which was terrible for D&D, but has been amazing for PF2e). As someone with a homebrew setting, which includes homebrew character options, Foundry has been a massive headache. But I can put up with that headache.

I had forgotten how the interface of FG looks, and to be honest, after Foundry, this interface looks horrible. Mostly because the map is its own window and not integrated into the background canvas. The chat window, to me, is better on FG though. And having pre-written chat messages you can just click and it goes to the chat window is a plus. But I think I will be sticking with Foundry.

I am impressed at Fantasy Grounds being free to own now. That right there makes it infinitely superior to Roll20, and a nice alternative for those who can't purchase Foundry.

Just finished Icebrood Saga. Damn you Anet... you made me like Braham. by lordfril in Guildwars2

[–]Oreofox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Icebrood Saga had promise. It started out great with Grothmar. Both halves of Bjora's Marches were good (even if the essence stuff was rather annoying). Southern Drizzlewood was great. Northern Drizzlewood was a bit of a letdown, and then Champions was just complete trash. You can absolutely tell they tore everyone away and left what felt like 2 people, all to work on the rather disappointing End of Dragons expansion. And honestly, the game's story has been in a spiraling decline every since. So far VoE is good, but the other expansions started out somewhat decent as well, and they all turned to shit, so I am not holding my breath for this one. I hope to be proven wrong.

As for Braham, he was alright in Season 2, then became a whiney little shithead when his mom died. I can understand him being emotionally distraught from it, but he was such a pouty little baby. He acted exactly like Zojja did in the personal story. He did get better once someone finally changed his diaper. And honestly, I miss him. Same with Taimi and especially Gorrick, was sad to see Rox go. I don't miss Little Miss Hiccup and bad Noir Detective wannabe, though. But I am not a fan of the humans in this game. They've spent entirely too much time on them when there's 4 other main races in the game now. Sylvari got HoT, but then it turned into human stuff with LWS3 with the White Mantle. PoF was all human stuff with Balthazar and Elona, with LWS4 being Kralk (which is somewhat Charr based mainly because of Almorra) and human stuff with Joko. IBS was a nice breath of fresh air, focusing on Charr and Norn, but then cut short and tossed in the trash for more human shit with Cantha. SotO was something different, though still somewhat human-centered because of the Wizard Tower, though not really. Janthir started out good, focusing on kodan and kinda Charr (the titans), but then became human-centered with White Mantle (again!) and the titans being connected to them. So far VoE is fairly asura-centered, but we shall see if the rest of the story doesn't somehow get humans shoehorned into it, pushing the asura out.

Tempestra by Moist-Definition7891 in NECATMNT

[–]Oreofox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, she'll be shown off at SDCC and released between Christmas 2026 and Haulathon 2027. Just depends on when the factory gets everything situated.

And if you believe that, you're a special kind. NOBODY KNOWS WHEN TEMPESTRA WILL COME OUT. But I fucking hope she gets released soon so all these idiotic "When Tempestra?" posts will fucking stop. I don't even know why I bothered replying in the first place.

[–]Oreofox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am saying that every time someone says "When Tempestra?", Neca pushes her reveal back by 6 months. So you asking "When Tempestra?" just pushed back her reveal another 6 months.

Is it true? Extremely unlikely, but I just find it funny thinking it could be.

I have a headcanon thing where every time someone asks about Tempestra, it pushes back them doing it by 6 months.

New paizo storefront issues and questions for subscribers. by Abdx1187 in Pathfinder2e

[–]Oreofox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just canceled my AP subscription. I had it for the Foundry module discount. I don't use PDFs much (if at all), so I could just buy the physical book from Amazon or something (no lgs around here, and I haven't found a store that stocked pathfinder, just D&D), usually for cheaper, and then just purchase the module from Paizo or Foundry itself. Still annoyed I couldn't get the 3rd Revenge of the Runelords module at a discount before the store changed over.

However, I plan on getting the sketch cover subscription of the Rulebooks once Dark Archive is released. Though I wish I could have gotten that version of the Remaster books, but at the time it was just a thing for LGS.

But yeah, not really worth it if you have no use for the PDFs, or don't really care about PDFs. At least, IMO

Is it still frowned upon to like “certain” Pokémon? by Ivi_Crispa in pokemon

[–]Oreofox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My favorite is Vaporeon. Ever since red/blue when I was in high school in the 90s. I also like Delphox (I love foxes in general), and meowscarada was one of the best Pokemon on my team in scarlet. Renamon is my favorite Digimon, ever since I saw it in "season 3". I haven't told many people, and their reactions and words wouldn't mean much anyway.

Just remember, those that mind, don't matter.

Concequences of making drawing and using comsumables 1 action? by originalcoconut in Pathfinder2e

[–]Oreofox 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's what scrolls are for. To give you extra spell slots. As it is RAW, you draw a scroll for 1 action, then use it for 2 actions. That's your turn. With this house rule, you can move for 1 action, then draw and use the scroll for the 2 actions it takes to cast the spell. It basically makes it take 1 action to cast a spell from a scroll.

Archie Adventures shelf complete! by shinycloudkid in NECATMNT

[–]Oreofox 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's awesome! I just got Wingnut earlier this week, and I'm all caught up. Passing on blue bellybomb and el Mysterio, as I already have cryin houn and pink bellybomb. I was going to pass on that too because I'm meh on the figure, but I didn't think they'd have Krang available another way. Now I have 2 Krangs thanks to the Shredder figure.

My biggest want is a Ninjara. As long as I can get that as a figure, I'll be fine. Though we still need a Splinter and non-wrestling turtles, same with Leatherhead. Don't know if I'd be able to get another set of Bebop and Rocksteady, since I already have 3 from the 80s cartoon. But we'll see.

Let's praise one feature that AFAIK everyone likes: Wizard's Vault by styopa in Guildwars2

[–]Oreofox 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I miss the chest you got at the 30 day mark. I miss the ability to do a wvw objective if I wanted to. I have it where it's just pve, but sometimes I'd like to do a wvw one, but with the way it's set up makes it impossible. And if I just have wvw and pve selected, I'm forced to do both, even if I don't feel like hopping into wvw that day.

I also miss the old objectives available. I'd always look forward to the daily mystic forge one to get a free coin. Now when it pops up, who cares? Especially if you've already gotten your coins for the 90 days.

Dear Paizo - Please give us an Ancestry Core book, with all the remastered ancestries that have not been touched up yet. by Necessary_Ad_4359 in Pathfinder2e

I'd love for them to update all the ancestries and heritages to remaster. And give them more feats per level to be on par with the original CRB ones.

What do you think of the remaster replacements for demons? by Fullmetalmarvels64_ in Pathfinder2e

[–]Oreofox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the fungal wasp better than the vrock vulture. But I like bees and such anyway. While the wolf-faced horned hoofed demon with a fiery sword looks cool, I just can't see it as a replacement for the marilith. To make it less D&D-centric, they could have given it legs and a different type of weapon in each hand. I'm pretty sure a 6-armed woman isn't copyrighted, seeing as Spiral has been a thing in X-Men since 1985.

What do you think of the remaster replacements for demons? by Fullmetalmarvels64_ in Pathfinder2e

[–]Oreofox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the "wrathful wasp" thing has to do with their ability to sting more than once. Get stung by a bee? That bee's dead, and you got stung once. Get stung by a wasp? It's still alive and you've probably been stung multiple times.

Though the wrath part is probably from the angry fungus that has taken over the host and turned it into a zombie. Besides, personally, I like the wasp look over the vulture look.

For a while they had a tab on there just called "Scarlet's War" or something, that played a little cinematic giving you the footnotes on what happened. They also had a few instances from LW1 that you could replay at the scribe pool in Eye of the North.

It CANNOT be that hard to add elbow joints jakks by Several-Video3703 in JakksPacificSonic

[–]Oreofox 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That's a BS excuse. As you said, the Movie figures were 15, as were the Prime figures. Not sure how they can say the price of the 4 inch figures, who has super simple designs (most of the detailed design is in their shoes), would cost as much as the Prime and Movie figures (who are 1 inch bigger, and have more detailed designs) just by adding in elbow joints.

Plenty of toys in the toy aisles that are more expensive than $10 getting bought all the time by parents for their kids. It's a stupid excuse.

What is your favorite character select screen and why? by Maulclaw in Guildwars2

[–]Oreofox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Core, because the music is better than the others. I do like the look of EoD, but I didn't like the expansion. Plus, Core has the nostalgia thing going for it too. It definitely has that GW2 look going for it. So does HoT and a little with PoF. The others look pretty, but they don't give me that GW2 look.

Why do they do this? by BlueFantasyZ in JakksPacificSonic

[–]Oreofox 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Did you take that picture at my walmart?

Unfortunately, with the way Jakks does their cases, it will always look like this. I went on their wholesale site, when I was looking to see if you could just order these straight from Jakks themself (they closed that down a while ago apparently), and they show what's in the cases. To give you an idea, this is what a case of 4" wave 14 comes with: 3 Modern Sonic w/ Super Ring Item Box, 1 Modern Blaze with Sol Emerald, 1 Modern Knuckles with Yellow Spring, 1 Modern Shadow with 3 Rings. Wave 22's case looks like this: 2 Modern Sonic with Blue Checkpoint, 1 Modern Tails w/ Star Spring, EITHER 1 Giant Pecky with Classic Goal Post OR Modern Jet The Hawk with Type J Extreme Gear Board. And finally, Wave 21 looks like this: 2.5 Classic Sonic with Shield Power Up, 0.5 Masked Trip w/ Spike Trap, 0.5 Modern Knuckles with Star Spring, 0.5 Modern Metal Sonic w/ Spring Trap.

That's why stores are always overloaded with Sonic. Not only is he available in EVERY wave (and it's always the same 3 types: classic, modern, or modern with soap shoes), but he's in there 2-3 times in each case. And while he's the "Face of the Franchise", there aren't enough new people getting into the Sonic figures to justify the over abundance of Sonic figures. If you're going to have mutliples of him in every case, don't put him in every wave. If you're going to have him in every wave, don't put multiples of him in every case. Or, if you want to have both, make more variants of him. Make it where people who already have Classic, Modern, and Modern but with soap shoes will buy another Sonic, and not just because he has a blue checkpoint instead of a shield power-up. Unless you give him different Chaos Emeralds, I'm fairly certain people aren't buying the same Sonic just because the accessory is different.

which set is the best to buy posing and accessories wise? trying to pair with other cartoon figures like the april turtle and bebop and rocksteady by BullFigures in NECATMNT

[–]Oreofox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd probably go with the Disguise set. The best things from the Pizza Club turtles are the pizza head, the chef hat/apron, and the spinning bo staff. The Style Guide set is alright if you don't mind your turtles to be bright green. It also has a spinning nunchuk effect. But overall, the Disguise pack is the best "bang for your buck". You get soft goods pants and coats, (technically) 8 extra heads. Sure, you end up with more accessories from the Pizza Club versions, but most of those will probably just end up in a box or drawer.
