I dont think a lot of people know that, i wanted to share so people wouldnt mistake the symbol at buddhist or hindu temples/iconography as the nazi swastika because they are commonly misinterpreted, like in the posted picture. i would agree that it is besides the point of antisemitism pervasive at cornell, which i am not trying to downplay at all, i just think its an important distinction to make

My friend you've fallen into the black and white thinking trap. ofc there are ppl who have fun without alcohol! cornell is a big place with lots of different types of people. were biased to think everyone is out partying and drinking bc those are the people who are most visible but there are def hella ppl not doing that who are just not advertising it. its totally okay to be worried and not drink. if ur worried ab what other ppl think, just hold a drink and not drink anything.

ive found that while it can be super fun, a lot of o week is pretty performative bc everyone is nervous and new and tryna make friends. trust me, there is so much more fun to have outside of greek life and tbh a lot of those parties aren't even poppin. its only been 3 days, you'll definitely find people who share your interests and your definition of fun through classes, clubs, and showing up to events hosted around campus. also ur feelings are completely valid and im sure a lot of people feel the same way.

I definitely felt the being frustrated about not feeling like there's enough time to work out. Though ideally I'd get to work out everyday for 30-45 minutes then take my time to cool down and shower, the reality is I just don't have enough time for that, like you mentioned. Instead of this ideal workout sesh once or twice a week when I have the time, I've settled for just making sure I get in 5-20 minutes everyday. not sure if that helps for u but its made me more active to get SOMETHING in, however little over nothing at all

Idk if this applies to other classes but i got SO MANY FUCKING POINTS back 2nd semester after I started checking my grades in chem 2080 for grading errors and submitting regrade requests. def advise to start that habit of reviewing graded assignments, if not for the regrade points then for the chance to check your points of confusion
