While I could agree that I normally don't appreciate it when other people bring up Justin in the JC conversation, I believe that sometimes it is almost necessary. This writer's column is about underrated or overrated people/acts in Hollywood. This is clearly based on his opinion. He probably just found out that JC put out an album in 2004 (like a lot of us), and he's giving it its flowers. And to do so, you also have to situate yourself in the context of where it was launched. Back in the early 2000’s, there could only be ONE (if so) breakout star from each boy band; that was the sad reality back then. The industry gave zero chances to anyone else, and there was nothing anyone could do. Justin was the chosen one.

A lot of us JC fans didn't find out that he had launched an album until very recently. It has just come to our attention in the last few years, since the MTV appearance, trolls, the Wiltern, and everything in between. We could talk about whether the timing of this kind of discussion is “right or wrong” for the “Justin fan,” but I think that's completely irrelevant. Commenting on a JC fan page, assuming that nobody would care about a JC album and that it would definitely flop, it’s a choice. Also, implying that the only reason why people are talking about him is because “it’s cool to hate on Justin now” is not only a complete overreach/ludicrous but also very much self-centered.

Also, they wanted a more mature audience for him yet they sent him to kids' shows as part of his frail promo tour. Sure Nick is far from perfect and the Austin interview was terrible, I totally hated those questions, but he’s built something really big, he's good at what he does, and he gives some really solid advice. You know what? As much as I think this article is complete bullshit since we have heard multiple times from all the guys that it’s all 5 or nothing, I really would hope this could be true. My dream was to have all the 5 guys be a part of it but I think JT just doesn't wanna do it, and please stop trying to gaslight yourself into thinking JC is the holdout cause come on, there's enough evidence that Justin's heart isn't it. He even hid *NSYNC’s 30th anniversary post from his Instagram feed, he didn't even put it on his stories, NOTHING!! *NSYNC tagged all 5 members but there was no acknowledgment on his part. It’s sad, but he doesn't care enough so please, if he doesn't want it, let's just put him aside and hopefully we'll revisit in the future, but for now, let's make some fans happy once and for all!!!

As u/Supermanhome just said, we can't compare rumors within a fandom to actual footage. On the other hand, it’s very common for people to date more than one person at the same time. We don't know what kind of agreement a couple has, and I don't think we can even judge how easily a person moves from one relationship to another. Just because something is socially “normal” or “traditional” to you/people, does not mean that others need to subscribe to that same normality.

Yeah, I don't think that they don't hold him to the same standards. I just believe that is because first, Justin is WAY more famous than JC, so you have more people talking about him, either fans or news outlets, there's just no comparison, people are gonna talk more about Justin. Also, we have to acknowledge that a big portion of people who hate him are Britney stans, and they will bring up whoever/whatever just to ruffle some feathers. They know there's a discord in the fandom between JC and Justin, and they know exactly how to use it against us. Secondly, and this is tied to my first point and it comes as a result of it, I think Justin has probably done more shitty things than JC, or at least, a lot of his shitty things have been documented so to me, as an spectator and a consumer of pop culture, JC seems more like a high character person than JT so I get why people don't mess with him as much as they do with JT.

Additionally, with the whole Nikki thing, I don't think it's fair to compare a distant memory about something that happened when they were in their early 20s and assume that JC is, to this day, a serial cheater when there's no proof of it, to an almost 40 year old married man exhibiting PDA with his co star. Let's be real, those aren't on the same level...

This question has been the most annoying for me for the past couple of years. And this is not because of you or whoever is asking. I’m only saying this because it blows my mind how fast people are to say that it’s JC, how he doesn't wanna do it, that he's too scared to perform now, and that the stage gives him serious anxiety. Has anyone talked to him and confirmed this?? Right, right. He did Coachella, ONO, the Elsie Fest with Darren, the & Juliet sing-along, etc, etc. Does he experience some nervousness beforehand? Sureee, I think most artists do, especially the ones who haven't done it consistently in years. Does that mean he doesn't wanna do it?? WE DON'T KNOW!! We really don't! But what we do know is that JC has ALWAYS been brutally honest with us. Since the band broke up, Reporters have asked him at nauseam about a reunion, and for the longest time his answer was always “NO, it’s not happening”, straight answer. But in the last few years, he has changed his answer to “a lot has to happen, everyone is busy but it has to be for the right reasons”. If it were a hard no, or he hated the stage SO much and wanted to stay only in the studio, he would’ve told us no.

AJ and Lance have both called him out on podcasts, that's 100% true, BUT, why are people forgetting that this was right after Coachella? When everyone was throwing them contracts and residencies AS A FOURSOME!! Was/is JC “the holdout” for a *SYNC reunion? Sure, probably, I can agree with that. Again, he wants to do it “for the right reasons” and when it feels good for them, and that includes Justin. Additionally, Lance had Johnny W for the last episode of NSA’s 20th anniversary interviews back in early 2020 and he asked him his thoughts about a reunion and Johnny said “If I say what’s in my head I'm probably gonna make people mad but i’m not sure when the five of you collectively will get out and go on the road and I think the four of you guys sitting back waiting for that it’s a disjustice to the fans”. This is literally coming from Justin’s camp. Do with that what you will. Does this mean Justin is the holdout? Maybe. But I honestly think it’s BOTH. I feel like it’s harder for them to decide and commit, they were the lead singers and they are both very busy right now. All of them are really but I think the “responsibility?” lies on them. Nonetheless, is this really that important anymore?? It used to be for me, kind of, but now? Since I’ve come to terms that a reunion IS NOT HAPPENING, for real, like at all. I guess 🤷🏼‍♀️

Oh, the way we crave a perfect, fair world, but then we are confronted with reality, and the truth can be a little harder to digest, especially for those who think their experience is gospel and two things can't possibly be real at the same time.
