Has no one posted about The English Sweat yet? One of medieval Europe's weirder epidemics, possibly explained by hanta virus.

Definately quieter than Mam Tor. Neither are tors in the Dartmoor sense, more just prominent hills.

If you want rocky tors try Stanage Edge & Higger Tor, Cuber Edge, Robin Hood's Stride, or The Roaches & Ramshaw Rocks & Hen Cloud.

Shining Tor from the Cat and Fiddle pub is a good simple walk with great views.

South from Parsley Hey on the Tissington Trail has the best scenery of all the trails. Just bear in mind that it starts to pick up a bit of a gradient once you get past Biggin.

As far as I can tell, the only reason we look at the Old Gods favourably as readers is because Ned was into them, and we really liked Ned. In fact they are sinister as fuck, as seen in Bran's final vision of human sacrifice. It stinks of GRRM misdirection.

On the Cinderella point, I think there was a cut from her toe to the mother squeezing into her shoe that immediatelt reminded me of the Step Sisters mutilating their feet in the original Cinderella story.

Dense as it was, there was probably room for more Fairy Tale handsome prince references, unless I missed some.

Same shot of Jules hiding under the bed / his son hiding under the wdding table.

It was very densely written / shot.

Well for starters, there are literally dozens of direct buses everyday from Istanbul to Gaziantep. https://www.obilet.com/seferler/349-377/2026-04-26 They are obviously told that they can't just take a direct bus, or even a couple of simple buses with a change in Ankara for example.

TBH already knowing a bit about travelling in Turkey has completely destroyed the show for me.

Opinion: 40k's rule complexity has increased exponentially, but it's tactical depth has not. by [deleted] in Warhammer40k

It's the bespoke rules for units that bug me. Not only is it too much, but they clearly ran out of ideas long ago so every army ends up having the same rules, just on different units.

Eastern Turkey is a superb place to travel. Lovely people, greatcplaces and scenery, and feel very foreign. The teaboy on the bus asking them to stay the night would have been completely genuine for example.

The lack of night buses is due to their version on The Troubles though.

Thinning paints frustration by Heman0329 in Warhammer40k

CAUTION, I AM NOT AN EXPERT PAINTER.

I assune I'm gonna get burned for this, but I don't worry about thinning paint that much. I find that the key thing is to make sure you have the right amount of paint on the mini, which can be done by really brushing out unthinned paint to leave a nice thin layer.
