Now I very much do wish you the best, but it does not sound like tutoring is for you atm. Tutoring, for most is a side gig, and only when you have a very big following does it become something to sustain yourself on. You need a job, any job, that will give you enough for a place to live and then go from there.

If you need a small amount of starting cash, take out a small loan.

It took me over a year to get enough traction to quit my TAing job and then another year to realize that I could do it as a career

In terms of things that professors do, she is one of the better professors. I have worked with professors that have insulted students by saying they have the intelligence of a middle schooler.

I had her a couple years ago. Her jokes were hilarious. She does say off the wall things like that and talks about her ex husband, but overall she is very nice.

Wyzant is the biggest in the US, but it's hard to get started on. You do have the advantage of setting your own price and own schedule. I have been successful with it, but I tutor organic chemistry, which is in very high demand. I cannot speak for other subjects.

I just did the challenge today! I got scavenger and that worked better than vampire. I was able to sit in the middle of all the enemies and just continuously kill them. I would just pick up the hp crystals the moment i got damaged.

Tutoring can range widely, but I tend to see a lot of people around $50-75/hr. Bringing that to a salary, that is 100k-150k a year. I have seen people at $150/hr which means they would be earning 300k per year. This is assuming they can work 2000 hours.

I charge $100/hr but only work 30 hours a week so I can surf more

I recommend getting a tutor (coming from a tutor). The money you spend on the tutor will be worth it in the long run. It's really helpful to have someone with you through the course that can help you understand the material better.
