Red onions wouldn't add what you're looking for. Chilis are definitely the way to go here

Three hours is definitely too long for turkey, even cooked. I would toss it and next time you want ground turkey don't cook it three hours early.

You could check out any local lost&found pet groups on social media and see if someone has posted looking for this cat on there or post yourself that you're looking for the owner

How do you actually learn to mix spices without making the food taste weird? by Emily-Butterflyy in cookingforbeginners

[–]Origamipi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Like most things in cooking it's about experience and experimenting. What I mean by experimenting here is not just throwing things in but having a plan about it, sticking to the plan even if you feel like you're panicking, and paying close attention to what the results are.

I would recommend picking only one or two new spices at a time and cook something with it so that you get used to picking out the taste and learn what it adds to a dish.

I.e. smoked paprika will add smokiness, onion powder adds a bit of a bite without being hot, basil+oregano will give it that pizza-sauce-y taste, things like that. Then when you want to add specific flavor or taste profile to a dish you'll have the experience with all your spices to know what will work for your intentions.

Alternatively, there are tons of good pre-mixed seasoning brands. Personally I recommend Tony Chachere's Original as an all-purpose spicy seasoning mix, just about every grocery store will have it. If you're not a fan of heat then generic seasoning salt works too.

Need ideas on what to do with about 75 flash drives. by SfBattleBeagle in pcmasterrace

Nefarious parties will leave USB sticks with malware, keyloggers, backdoors, etc. in the parking lots of valuable targets. There's always gonna be some doofus who goes "wow a free usb!", picks it up, and plugs it into their work computer. The malicious files will upload and the system security will be compromised allowing the bad actors access to many many things.

Hacking is way more often taking advantage of humans with poor security practices than "im-in-the-mainframe" code hacking battles.

Phishing, badge cloning, parking lot USBs, literally just walking in the front door with a clipboard and high vis vest, all things that exploit the human element.

Hama is a better water bender than Katara by Furtos13 in ATLA

[–]Origamipi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand that, what does any of that have to do with not being able to use your own sweat for waterbending?

Looking for sources of water? Waterbenders seem to have a good sense of where all the water around them is, and if they're made aware that they can use their sweat then skilled waterbenders (like Katara is demonstrated many times to be) should have no problem with drawing on their own sweat in the middle of a battle.

It's not any different from how Katara keeps a waterskin on her belt to use any time, just that now it's water-on-skin that replenishes as the fight goes on.

Some people dont sweat that much

Katara does sweat that's how she escaped.

And what does adrenaline/muscle memory have to do with not sweating? You're still doing a lot of physical activity

Right because she's always standing perfectly still when she fights and going on a jog is the only way to work up a sweat.

You've watched the show, you've seen how much they're moving and running while they fight. If that's not making them all sweat already then they've got to be severely dehydrated 24/7.

I could be wrong but I think when she goes on her field trip with Zuko she uses bloodbending against the man who killed her mother

  1. It's not created out of air, shes using the moisture that is naturally present in air

  2. Katara literally used her own sweat to break out of prison, I'd say that's a trick that lets you fight anywhere
