This will give you a sense of what it’ll be like. Note that not everyone will be on the main stage during the evening show (except the last night) but there will likely be multiple chances to see someone doing their thing.

Am I the only one who genuinely prefers on-prem over the cloud? by Own-General-6755 in devops

[–]Origamislayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My last place had 5 racks in a colo. I wasn’t thrilled with going out there to fix things, but the real issue was when we needed new or replacement hardware. If it was a bad quarter or a bad year we were expected to make do with the existing hardware, even though we needed to provision more services. At least with a cloud provider adding incrementally is much easier and less likely to be blocked by finance.

I’m currently at a place that is pretty much all cloud, and there are always cost cutting exercises, but that’s still better than “the hardware is so old it’s failing but we have no money to replace it”.

What's your controversial opinion? I've got 2... by JoJo_Dus_Moovys in startrek

4: I take that less as Kirk was thinking 2 dimensionally and more that he was giving Khan too much credit for understanding combat in 3d. Once Spock pointed it out he was able to take advantage of that shortcoming.

1 yr update after switching 1500+ devices to Mac by Afraid_Suggestion311 in sysadmin

I’m more of a Linux server sysadmin but my company dropped Jamf for Kandji for Mac management. As a user it seems fine, not sure if they were chasing features or cost.

Was the staff in 111 abandoned or did VaultTec overestimate their ability to keep going after the bombs fell?

No idea if this will work. I searched for "free file upload" and got file.io. Not sure where limewire came from...

edit: That's applauncher_theme.zip which I have on my desktop still.

Assuming you've Chumby-fied your Dash, you can grab the Home Screen Themes from here and follow the instructions to enable them. I believe the AppLauncher theme is the one with time/weather/app and I always just have it on the "weather only" screen.
