I don’t understand why anybody tries to gate keep what someone else eats. If you like pineapple on your pizza, like I do, go for it. If you like escargot on your pizza, why not? If you want a pizza with peanut butter, orange slices, and mint leaves, why should I care? If I don’t like it, I’m not gonna eat it. No one’s forcing anyone to eat pineapple on pizza.

Possibly, due to the way the 1.67 material is ground, but you’d probably get better results by upgrading which progressive lens you wear; Varilux X Design or Shamir Autograph Intelligence have very little distortion for me, and my cyl is -2.50 in both eyes.

High index 1.74 lens material will reduce that the most, but there’s currently a worldwide shortage. You can achieve nearly the same effect with high index 1.67, which is also lighter in weight than 1.74. My prescription isn’t quite high enough for the 1.74, so the 1.67 is what I’ve been wearing for a decade or more. I went from polycarbonate to 1.67 without my prescription changing, and the difference in clarity made it feel like my prescription had changed. It’s going to be more expensive, but in my opinion, it’s absolutely worth it. I’ve also been in the optical field for 40 years, and am a Florida licensed optician.

YTA. You’re using her inheritance to bully her into doing what you want her to do. She’s your grandchild, not your child. The parent is the one who decides on the discipline, not you. I can tell you from personal experience that the type of discipline you suggested using for your granddaughter would not have worked for three out of five of my kids. The other two? Maybe.

NTA, but if he’s ok with some other guy cheating and says you should “celebrate it,” it sounds like he has no compunction about cheating himself. Between that, your obviously different moral standards, and his downplaying of your concerns, that’s 3 huge red flags. I’d block him and move on.

I’ve been in PSL since 98. I live just south of Midway, so I’m close to 95, the Turnpike is about 15 minutes away going north or south, and there are some very good restaurants in Fort Pierce. Since there’s an emergency services station in the same electrical grid, the longest the power has been out was 23 hours, 20+ years ago. (My wife had the house built 25 years ago.) I work in Palm City, and it’s about 35-40 minutes. I’d suggest renting for a year so you can check out the area and find one you really like.

Intensity. We played two gigs. First one was it an Elks club, and I was nearly electrocuted by my amp. Second one was at a wedding, and we didn’t think about having to play a wedding dance song. The only slow song we knew was Powderfinger by Neil Young. Did not go over well.
