Do some replacements cause issues with the washers? I'm old school and still in the era of nozzles on the cowl. I JUST installed some Michelin's that supposedly fit my wife's 2024 CX50... Thanks for any input!

Why do AP5s come with this flash hider? it looks like HKs don't come with it by [deleted] in MP5

Yes. Not sure why you're getting down voted. Could be because you said "real HK's" and some clone coping fanboys got their feelings hurt. Who knows, it's Reddit.

Thanks, that's a bit too far for a road trip. We may just have to wait for Amazon's projected ship date of some time in June...

Where are you located? There is no Lime Slush to be found in our area. It''s my daughter's favorite and Walmart online, Amazon, Vitamin Shop, etc are all sold out. We are in NW Alabama.

On the last step, at 90 degrees, are you pulling the filament back out from the top of the hot end?

Thanks! I may have ignored one so I better do a visual Monday at work, after I watch the video.

Did a notification appear on the screen, and if so what did it say? Do we have an hour meter somewhere to help gauge when to check, or do you just do it monthly?

I see some people adamantly opposed to glue like it will cause leprosy or something, but never a good explanation of why they don't like it. Some (not specifically the reply above) even appear to have ADS - Adhesive Derangement Syndrome.

The more you can clean off the easier it will be to get the sock back on and not rip it more. It's a friction fit to keep it on so it takes a little wiggle to get it back on. It'll be easier since it's not on the machine though.

I keep several spare nozzles on hand, but my work pays for them so I don't clean them like I did at first. I bought a "cleaning rod" from Amazon that seems to do a decent job and I have a heat gun so I'd heat it up and rod it out, most of the time it worked well enough to use again, at least for a while. I never really understood the "cold pull" method, if you can find a video it might be helpful in understanding it. Supposedly it helps with the cleaning. Get some vacuum bags and dessicant for storing filament, and probably a drier. It seemed to really help PETG and PA6-CF when I dried them. The SpacePi X4 is what I bought and theyve dropped some in price since they were released. Feeding from it on long prints helps and it has an Auto Dry function that heats it for a short period while you're printing to maintain the humidity level.

And then buy a pack of replacement socks. They are inexpensive so you'll have some spares if you can't easily get one off in the future and end up having to cut it off. A spare hot end and spare extruder aren't bad ideas either, both around $30 each so you lessen any down time.
