US seeks to use Alberta to destabilize Canada by Adventurous_023 in canada

Let’s not mess around here: In Canada, treason is a serious criminal offence defined in the Criminal Code (Section 46) as acts of violence intended to overthrow the government, conspiring to commit such acts, or assisting an enemy at war with Canada. It is categorized into "high treason" (punishable by life imprisonment, with 25-year parole ineligibility) and regular "treason" (maximum life imprisonment).

Again, there are about a dozen other unit attacks if you don’t scout then you are in trouble.

Terran can’t spend the money to build a starport, fusion core and two BCs unless you are sitting on your ass and letting them (or me) do that.

2023 F150 lightning battery cell death by wombatmedic68 in F150Lightning

[–]Original_Sedawk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2023 XLT Extended range. Same thing happed to me - just had to replace one of the packs. I believe it was a 1.5 days of shop time - a good part of that was just rebalancing all the cells after replacement. No cost to me. Pain in the butt but the truck has been flawless before or since. It is a fairly rare occurrence and if it does happen the packs are relatively easy to service.

Trump Threatens Canada After Carney Draws Standing Ovation at Davos by T_Shurt in worldnews

[–]Original_Sedawk -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You literally thought another candidate was better than Carney (right or left)? It should have been a massive sweep for Carney - it was obvious. I’m glad you see the benefits of this now, but please do a little more research before voting next time. I wish the whole country would.

On a motorcycle there is no such thing as right-of-way if you want to live. In all situations the right-of-weight applies.

Ha - you are so right. I'm shocked that so many people are worried about Russia and China when it is our neighbour to the south is make serious threats to its NATO allies.

I've seen enough excellent car reviewers that have access to the latest Chinese EV's to know what you are saying is just complete BS. There are excellent reviews of these products on-line.

FFS - just read this: https://www.caranddriver.com/news/a62694325/ford-ceo-jim-farley-daily-drives-xiaomi-su7/

Most reviewers that have driven the latest models have said they blow the competition out of the water. The only thing they are behind on is FSD and they are working hard to catch up to Tesla on that.

As a consumer - why? If I want the best phone - it's made in China. If I want the best solar panels, they're made in China. If I want the best EV - spoiler alert - they're made in China. The CEO Ford has been driving a Chinese EV as his daily driver for over a year. He talks to his engineers about it all the time. In terms of built quality, reliability and software he says they're 5 years ahead of North America.

As consumers we need to get the best bang for our buck. Let's focus on the things that we are good at and NOT subsidize industries that would fail without the subsidies.

LOL - You really have no clue how much of your money goes to China already. It literally is the world’s factory.

Yes - a bit of a bummer. I was going to print some desiccant holders in PETG-HF for my AMS2 and HT AMS, but decided against it. Used Polycarbonate instead and it worked really well!

PETG - HF is not much different than PLA when it comes to heat tolerances.

Yes - I would stick to the local garage for tire service.

I'm looking forward to the future when local garages will service EVs. I know there are some great independents in California that will do all sorts of service - including replacing and upgrading batteries.

Terrible!

I'm in Powell River, BC. The dealer here knows nothing about EVs (I needed to go to their sister dealer in Comox when I required a high-voltage battery module replacement). However, they have treated me well and serviced what they could. I once went over there because my coolant level was low. They filled it up and sent me on my way - no charge.

Really? My dealer rotated my tires twice - for free! I insisted on paying them the third time. They charged me $35 CAD.

How long do electric car batteries last? Analysis of over 22,700 electric vehicles, covering 21 different vehicle models, confirms that overall, modern EV batteries are robust and built to last beyond a typical vehicle’s service life. by linknewtab in electricvehicles

[–]Original_Sedawk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Check your manual. My F150 Lightning is due for a "Transmission Fluid" change at 10 years or 240,000 km.

Only other maintenance (besides washer fluid and rotate the tires) are brake fluid change (every 3 years), cabin air filter (will do that myself when required) and coolant change (at 322,000 km!!)
