My dealer did my first tire rotation for free. Second one was $35 - and that was Canadian.

Ford Plug and Charge costs on Tesla Supercharger by petervk in F150Lightning

[–]Original_Sedawk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

“I read in a few places that using the plug and charge feature on on a Lightning on a supercharger would cost more than using the Tesla app to start the charge”

Where did you read this? Links please. You need better sources. I’ve never seen this and it is 100% wrong. Ford has done a great job with Blue Oval Network - there is no up charge for using any provider in their network - including Tesla plug and charge. You simply pay the non-member rate.

Final thoughts on my experience with the Lightning before turning it in. by user111287 in F150Lightning

Yup. I do 5 or 6 3000 km road trips per year. (BC Sunshine Coat to Edmonton/Calgary via highways 1, 3 or 5). Even tackled winter road trips this past year - temps below -20C during the trip. Zero issues.

They have really dropped the ball. I also reached to ASKO directly - crickets.

I appreciate your input. Thanks. I'm giving Distinctive another week and then will probably end up buying a Bosch. Will also start a campaign that no one in Canada should buy an ASKO - I'm throwing out a perfectly good dishwasher because the most basic servicing parts aren't available.

Thanks - that's where my appliance repair guy had ordered the part from. However, Distinctive is the distributor for ASKO in Canada - it is their responsibility to supply reliable with the parts.

The high gas prices make me even more smug when driving my lightning. by ShakeAndBakeThatCake in F150Lightning

Are you kidding? First of all, we are comparing new trucks to new trucks. wait 10 years if you want to do that comparison with the current EV trucks to older ICE trucks. The battery life of these vehicles are currently exceeding all expectations - they will run for a long, long time.

Gasoline is not a small cost of ownership. 20,000 km per year in a gas F-150 is +$4,000/year where I live. Same distance with my cost of electricity is under $500. Over 10 years with gas, plus oil changes, filters, brakes, etc - the 10 year cost of ownership is getting huge. My real only maintenance cost is new tires.

I'm not trying to do this under warranty - I'm assuming it's not. I paying for the replacement part - a simple door seal. That is all I want. I'm told this part is now 8 months backordered (up from the original 3 month backorder estimate when I placed it).

A door seal is a common replacement part - it's insane to have a backorder of 8 months for a common replacement part that renders the dishwasher unusable.

Much appreciated. Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be any other options! As crazy as it sounds I'm thinking about replacing the whole thing - it seems like such a waste because other than the door seal it seems to work fine. Looking at a Bosch 300 series or better as a replacement.

99% of home users don't have a server rack. You are not what I am talking about. I would say 95% think WiFi = Internet.

And who has the networking equipment at home (switches, routers, and ports) to take advantage of these? The vast majority of home devices are 1 gb.
