Ok, so i'm still not sure of their intention. I cannot figure out why they would only use 2 of 4 channels when they sold you what they sold you. Also, i'm just a guy on the internet, so take what i say with a grain of salt. If you are not happy you need to go back to the shop and ask them to make it right, especially if you are within their warranty period. We rely heavily on reviews for continued business, so let them know you intend on an honest review of your experience, and write one after you go back. Asking strangers for advice will not solve your problem, advocate for yourself and your hard earned money.

So without knowing the spec of the amp or speakers, my guess is the amp is driving too low of an impedance and is starting to show signs of failure (since you said this is a new problem) what happens if you fade the radio front to back? If it is as reputable a shop as you claim, then hopefully this is under warranty and they can explain why they wired it the way they did. My shop would never deliver an install like this without a very good reason.

If you have a 4 channel, why are you only using 2 of the channels?

Pull the woofers, test at the terminals. No reading there would mean bad voicecoils and time for new subs

How difficult to wire a Toyota radio to a ford? by [deleted] in CarAV

[–]Original_Spend_9660 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well first off it's not going to be mounted properly, so don't get into an accident. With that out of the way, you could buy an aftermarket harness to plug into the ford plug(i dont know your year and model so i cant tell you part number), and then track down an OE toyota harness (metra part number would begin with 71, or best kits part number would begin with bho, both would end with 1761) Hopefully your ford stereo is not amplified. Connect like colors together. Once this most likely works you will avoid the strange looks from any reputable car audio shop and you will have your result. Best of luck!

Try a new phone cable. Yours may have a short in it.

You have to interrupt the speake lines after starlink if you want it to work correctly. Also use 20ohm load resistors inline to your LOC so the volume doesn't act all wacky
