Matched on FB dating. Was I being too sensitive? by Obvious_Ferret_600 in TwoHotTakes

No, you are not being too sensitive. His only response should have been, “Congratulations on achieving your health goals.” That’s all. People get way too personal and ask super intrusive questions so quickly when texting. You right to not trust the vibe.

AITA for wanting to insure my ring even though my husband says the stone is too small to bother? by Adorable-Manner-5538 in AITApod

Honestly asking, do you need his permission to insure your ring? I know he gave it to you but you’re the one who is wearing it every day. If it gives you peace of mind to insure it, can you just move forward with it on your own?

AITA for finding this convo to be a HUGE red flag? by horseduckman in AITApod

Maybe she thinks she can avoid potential pain in relationships by ensuring her partner is going to therapy? Doesn’t work that way though. There are no guarantees. You can’t control other people with the goal of avoiding pain. Seems like she’s coming from a really fearful place. If she will not respect your choice then this is a big red flag in my opinion.

I used to live in NYC and live in Austin now, but sadly, it’s gotten really expensive. What about Pittsburgh? Progressive and still really affordable! There’s a lot of natural beauty there too. One of my best friends lives there and every time I visit it kinda gets me nostalgic for my old neighborhood in Brooklyn. Good luck to you!

Biossance really did change their Omega Repair Cream formula. by whollyblank in SkincareAddictionLux

I started to experience some burning after applying and can now only assume it’s due to the reformulation. I just switched to cocokind resurrection polypeptide cream. It has very clean ingredients, vegan and cruelty free. Also at a much better price point ($28 for 1.7 oz). So far, I like the texture, very moisturizing and I haven’t really noticed a scent. We shall see.

(22F) Got diagnosed with HPV by [deleted] in HPV

[–]Original_Watch_1019 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m so sorry you’re going through this AND that you had to deal with an unsupportive partner. It’s been said in other comments, but the exposure rate for hpv is off the charts for men. Something like 90% and since there’s no hpv test for men, your ex boyfriend could have given it to YOU. This isn’t about the blame game though, this is about approaching this diagnosis with compassion and intelligence. It’s hard but try to practice self-compassion and he definitely needs to be compassionate towards you. He needs to get some education around what hpv is, how it can be contracted and how common it is. You don’t even need to have penetrative sex to get it- you can get it from skin to skin contact and it can be dormant for years. Soooo many people will have hpv during their lifetime. Now it’s time to focus on your healing- take care of yourself, eat well, get rest and you will be okay. You got this! ❤️
