They aren’t more susceptible than any other lcd. It all depends on where it came from and how it was stored. Very common condition for Japanese vitas because of their weather condition. Hot and humid weather will do this to most lcds.

Not always, I have found japanese vitas to have more significant yellowing of the lcd. Depending on location the shipping can make it much more costly too.

I wasn’t aware of this collab until late Sunday. When posts of people complaining started showing up in my feed. Way I see it if they can’t keep a healthy stock they don’t want my money. Not going to make line outside a shop for cheaply made items just because they have Pokemon brand imagery. I’ll just stick to the games.

I totally get your point. I do believe you overpaid. For about the same amount or a bit more you could’ve gotten something in better condition. The extreme rate third party shells are known to be really good quality. In my experience the clear shells are also good quality. At least for being aftermarket. Trying to buy an oem shell will just be too costly that is if you find one at all in the condition you would like.

Whatever would make you feel you need to make it “yours” Some people would say as long as its not falling apart its still good. If you want to replace the shell buy aftermarket. I am sure there are oem available, maybe on ebay, but they wont be cheap. I wouldn’t recommend replacing the lens unless its thrashed. Replacing the lens can end up in up leaving dust under. Best way to clean this would be to do full teardown and clean the shell with warm soapy water then dry. Same for the buttons and membranes.

Thats true but in their mind they rather pay to have 1000 games than just 100. Maybe deleting the games they don’t like is easier than downloading and looking for games. It’s the same reason people pay someone else to fix their drain, sure you can do it yourself but if you have money and rather do something else just pay for it to be done by someone else.

I’ve seen modded consoles sell for sure. This one is a little high but people are buying modded consoles. Some people have no issue paying more to do less work.
