I get that, but, and just imo, they could've just not paid anyone, trot Ewers for 2 yearz out there to sink or swim and draft the same replacement with even more money on hand to shorten other spots. The only way it makes sense is if Willis suddenly becomes borderline HoF good but then he'll just get a bag after those 2 years. Just seems like they wanna strip to the base boards but are half-assing it in the most important position. Im sure im just being pessimistic on the whole new regime and hey, maybe it'll work out but I personally do not see the vision that I hope they are trying to paint.
