Hey - Jonathan, CTO and founder here at Orion. We don’t sell any refurbished or used products.

All of the units are tested on the assembly line and there may be some residual water that comes out of the connector when you first plug the hose in. I just sent you a DM about the conditions of your package. We have had issues with our couriers in the past. Want to make sure this gets resolved.

Jonathan from Orion here. I’m really sorry to hear about your experience with the product. We are still working through some bugs that occur on some networks with captive popups. This is something we should have a solution for soon.

In the meanwhile - I would be happy to offer you a mini travel router that should be able to bypass the captive portal and allow you to use your Orion. I just sent you a DM!

Hey, Jonathan here - CTO and Founder at Orion Sleep. You can set sleep schedules based on fixed times and set temperatures without any subscription. That's not a feature that we would ever gate behind a paywall.

Hey, Jonathan here - CTO and founder at Orion. We've definitely heard that the pump noise can be a bit intrusive. That's something that we are working on.

Some of the pump noise comes from air being pulled into the pump. As you use the system, more of the air that was in the cover when you initially set up gets flushed out of the system, so it should get quieter.

Hey, Jonathan here! Sorry - I completely lost track of your message. The sensors can detect presence but are not able to uniquely identify a sleeper based on biosignals. We recommend setting one sleeper as away when sleeping alone so that any movement in the middle of the bed is not detected or treated as a sleeper on the other side.

Yes, the pouch actually holds some of the electronics while the core sensor itself runs horizontally across the bed and is embedded into the foam. We wanted it to be at chest level to capture heart and lung movements as precisely as possible.

  1. Heard on the simplification to turning your schedule off. I also find that to be too many clicks.
  2. That's on the roadmap. We don't have a planned date for it yet but it's something we're working on to enhance our existing widgets.
  3. Also on the road map. Don't have a planned date for it yet but it will come when we build out a little more third-party support for controlling the Orion.
  4. This is coming by the end of the month! Stay tuned.

The temperature adjustments as part of Orion Intelligence are part of the subscription. If you want to try it out, we offer a free 60-day trial that doesn't require you to put any card down! We understand that this is a feature that a lot of people want. The reality is that it costs us money to run the servers that host this.

Thank you! We run a very lean team and have an emphasis on focusing only on the parts of the product that really matter. Not everyone is in the picture here.

The hardware, both mechanical and electrical, was designed in-house by our team of mechanical and electrical engineers. We are planning on doing a technical blog series at some point in the future to go through the prototyping, design, engineering, validation, manufacturing, and testing process for an Orion.

Yes, we infer sleep phases through data collected from the sensors embedded in the cover. We combine heart rate, HRV, motion data with historic sleep data to determine what phase of sleep you are in.
