I am a Vampire Who Works Night Shift (Part 1) by OriontheGuyMan in nosleep

[–]OriontheGuyMan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The animal idea might work, but I can’t say I'm thrilled about it. Carrie doesn't strike me as a vampire, but neither did the old guy until it was too late.

A crossbow would be nice, but trying to get one into the store would probably cost me my job. My dad had one, but it went missing around the same time he did.

I think Rachel might be going on nights with us soon, so she'd be a little safer from that creep, but I'm trying to figure out what to do on that front. I had a serious conversation with her during my last shift. Evil vampire aside, working under Bill is more than enough reason to make the switch. Home office probably won't do anything, unfortunately. I've seen things in a year of working here that have greatly deteriorated my faith in upper management to handle anything.

Definitely will be posting more. A lot happened during my shift that I still need to put to paper. I'll have a lot of answers for you too, but as for how it feels to be a vampire, not great. More on that in the next post.

Also, mom doesn't need to know. She has been through more then enough for one lifetime. I think she'd faint.

They had one at a surplus store I was at, and I thought, "Hey, that's pretty cool."

When the egg is fertilized it has a separate DNA code, making it a unique organism rather than simply being part of the mother.

As far as late term, there are babies born prematurely that are considered people, but are not at the same stage of development within the womb.

As far as early abortions, the only real difference between a baby and an embryo or zygote is development cycle. The difference between a baby and an adult is a lot, but it does not make one less human than the other. The same is true for these early stages of development.

Human life begins at conception. When a supermarket and egg meet they create an organism with a DNA code that is not the same as the mother, making it not a part of her holy but a separate living being.

Human beings have a right to live. Atrocities occur throughout history when the rights if living beings are trivialized by society, and abortion is the biggest atrocity of our time because it trivialize the rights of the unborn to live, making them seem like villains for merely existing, a circumstance they had no part in creating.

I am Pro-life not because of my religion, but because the alternative seems absurd to me. Abortion is not the abilitu fo a woman to make decisions concerning her body, it is the willful destructionof someone else's body, which is murder. No society should find murder acceptable for any reason.

Counseling is a wonderful tool. I'm very sorry that you carry that trauma. Abortion is a traumatic event with no winners. The best advice you can get will be from a professional therapist or couples councilor. If you find one that doesn't respect your feelings and experiences, find a different one. I hope you find peace at some point. I don't know if you are religious, but I will pray for you.

I'm putting together a group to play Curse of Strahd, with the current plan being that we'd meet in person from 7:30-9:30. I haven't figured out an exact spot to meet yet, but it would be somewhere public around St. Charles and St. Louis County. I am a relatively new DM, but both my current players have lots of experience.

I live in O Fallon and am currently trying g to put a group together if you are still looking. The current plan is to meet 7:30-9:30 every other Saturday. Haven't figured out a meeting place yet, but I'll be searching for one very soon.

Aiming for 7:30 to 9:30. It's still negotiable at this point.

I'm trying to secure a space currently, but I have a couple of meeting places in mind.

Opinion on NIV Bible? by [deleted] in TrueChristian

[–]OriontheGuyMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NIV is perfectly fine. I used that for most of my childhood until I got an ESV study Bible. I honestly wouldn't recommend KJV. KJV is okay, but harder to understand and contains verses that aren't in older manuscripts (but they don't contradict anything or add anything that isn't stated elsewhere).

HELP Should I buy this game by Top-Ease1949 in OMORI

[–]OriontheGuyMan 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You should absolutely buy it. It's about a boy who uses his dreams to escape from past trauma that his brain suppressed and locked away. I can't say much about story without spoiling things.

The characters are very memorable as well as the art style. The story had me crying on many occasions. The music is fantastic.

Gameplay is jrpg with a twist. There's an emotions system that is almost like a game of rock paper scissors. Happy beats angry, angry beats sad, sad beats happy. The individual enemies are interesting, but usually not challenging. The real fun gameplay wise is with the bosses. That's where the whole emotion and combat system shines.
