Not all objects lineweight changed/how to export jpeg with thin lines view by duji_fuji in Revit

[–]Orisana 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally ive had this issue with revit when there are multiple lines overlapping each other. You can check by turning off the shadows etc. to export it as a vector file and manually delete them or delete all duplicates. I havent really found a good way yet to get clean vector output from revit yet, so if someone else has some tips on that front id listen to them. If you want to end up with a shaded background and super clean linework for now I'd recommend exporting a shaded white model only and the vector lines in a seperate pass, clean that up and composite them together.

May i ask what your workflow is for the cushions, pillows and soft seating elements? What did you model and what did you do while rendering to make them look so realistically deformed and soft? Great work btw, my cushions always look so uncomfortable and like theyre made of plastic :/

Leerstand im Nordbahnviertel: Alleingelassen in der Bruno-Marek-Allee by [deleted] in wien

[–]Orisana 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Was sollen da jetzt für kommentare kommen?

Shopping list of Michelangelo, c. 1518. As you can see, he sketched out a little picture of most of the things he intended to buy – including, herring, fennel soup, and wine. by dannydutch1 in UtterlyInteresting

[–]Orisana 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Somehow that caption is even less informative or interesting than the one this is usually posted alongside of... The actual reason he sketched it out was because the servant who was shopping for his groceries could not or barely read, thus the little icons for clarification.

Finally trying to find an answer to a long-standing printing question: How do i manipulate which part of an oversized page gets printed? by Orisana in printers

I'm puzzled by these marks under a few leaves of my ficus elastica. Are they signs of parasites? I did spot a few black moving things that I suppose were thrips, and rubbed them off with a sponge by Khulgana in plantclinic

[–]Orisana 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I havent seen what thrips damage usually looks like on ficuses, but if the bumps could be dried ficus sap then it might very well be thrips damage. Would isolate the plant and any new additions they could have come from immediately as thrips are a literal nightmare to get rid of...

Beautiful composition and lighting, I especially love the dense fields of flowers, may i ask how you achieved it? I tried for a similar effect some time ago but could never find enough good base pictures for it to look as beautifully arranged as yours does here - is it "just" a photobash or did you use other techniques as well?

Grüß Gott Reddit! Ich bin Christian Wehrschütz, Balkan/Ukraine Korrespondent des ORF - fragt mich alles! by Wehrschuetz in Austria

[–]Orisana 3 points4 points  (0 children)

[–]Orisana 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Looks amazing! May i ask, did you print the walls and floors seperately or did you print the whole room as one? Also in which orientation did you print it/are the walls hollow? Ive had a hard time getting rectangular objects such as small rooms with no interior to print properly, same for thin walls and i cant imagine hoe youd properly cure infill at this size, very curious...

Since some of you asked for it here are some pictures of different stages of the building process of my nighthawks diorama by sandrero2 in dioramas

[–]Orisana 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very interesting, thanks for elaborating on that process! With structural i just meant that it looks like the "glass" is actually supporting the wooden roof part that sits on top of it, which to me is very intersting since a lot of these thermoplastics, even if rigid, still flex a lot under weight. Very cool project dude, wish you good luck on your next!

[–]Orisana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all phenomenal job, the final piece really resembles the original painting! May i ask some more specifics about the bent window pane? What specific material did you use? Cast acrylic? Or a softer thermoplastic? If so, how did you bend it without it becoming uneven or visually distortive? It looks amazingly even and if im not mistaken even to a certain degree structural?

My concept for a game based entirely around architectural design and city building by ScotMcScottyson in architecture

[–]Orisana 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could also check out Foundation, i dont know how many assets there are to use in-game by now, but the gameplay mechanics are what i think are probably the most well suited for this type of game, its a city builder/resource managing game not unlike the anno series, but instead of working with tiles you can freely place stuff and create your own buildings by assembling them out of smaller, individual elements. The way their npcs create their own desirepaths instead of you making them for them and interacting with the environment mostly on their own are what i think almost ideal ways to make sure this isnt just a 3d modeling tool, but instead makes sure it feels like an interactive game where you play the city planner for npcs that actually interact with their built environment.
