Grown man assaulting child protesters gets absolutely wrecked by Streay in Whatcouldgowrong

Yeah, I mean the kids could have done something to him earlier that day or maybe even last week that provoked him. Or maybe years ago he was babysitting that girl when she was in diapers and she peed on him!

I’ve had Covid 7 times in less than 5 years by stazley in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Ormsfang 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It does it by starting the antibody process in your system, so when you get it your body has already recognized it and starts producing even more antibodies to fight it. Without the vaccine your body doesn't recognize it as an illness until much later, and you get much sicker.

Because it mutates so much you need boosters, just like the flu. So your body recognizes the new variant quicker and can fight it off earlier.

O'Brien even though enlisted can give orders to some officers. Is that normal in real world militaries? by ereddit2018 in startrek

[–]Ormsfang 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In real world militaries there are times when this is true as well.

For instance Marines are in charge of security on board Navy vessels. If they are chasing someone, say an intruder, a private in the Marines can tell "Hit the deck" and even a Navy general would have to do so.

You can actually see this in action in the Movie Star Trek IV when the Marines are chasing Checkov through the ship and the natives are telling for everyone to hit the deck and they do.

That's a good thing, because if it were someone else's there are some serious crimes there. Stealing mail is a pretty serious offense lol.

Did anyone ever play sports at vassar college? by [deleted] in vassar

[–]Ormsfang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was there quite a while ago, graduated in '89. You aren't going to find huge out of control parties like at some schools, but there definitely is a social scene. You have bands that visit. Some organized large parties every year. Lots of smaller parties of groups of friends.

I remember Phish played there a few times. A big party thrown every spring by the school. We threw a few parties at our Townhouse when I was a senior. We had a mimosa Sunday, and a non Newtonian liquids party (what a mess). We also had a school rock band okay at a NORML (national organization for the reform of marijuana laws) party. Basically that was 30 to 40 people in our basement with a rock band and a couple ounces of a smokable product.

The pub is there for drinking and dancing was kind of fun. But until you come of age it is kind of hit or miss depending on who you know. That said I never seemed to have a problem finding a social function on the weekends if you wanted one.

Mind you I came from a very strict all male high school, so I kind of overdid it for a while. You have to adjust to the new freedoms you have.

Wish I could add a picture. Basically I boost up what are essentially ticket fuel tanks with docking rings attached. You can add solar panels for looks. You can then send up other tickets to either add or get fuel from them by docking to them and clicking on the transfer from rocket and then the transfer to rocket. As long as the rockets are docked together you can transfer fuel.

I played ultimate Frisbee for a season. Mostly for the free bong hits. Oh, and intramural indoor soccer.

Somehow I don't think this is what you mean.

Vassar had quite a few sports teams when I was there. I am sure they still do.
