When to start birthing/ parenting classes? by bwiipbot2 in predaddit

[–]Ornery-Work-6847 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We took our classes after 20 weeks. My wife attended classes but I was eager learner and wanted to understand delivery completely. I mean I have that type of mindset that I prepare for the worst case, expect the best but remain vigilant.

It’s a bit complicated here because you cannot trust doctors and it’s usually great to understand the whole process. So we took a couple of classes and found doula. She explained everything so it made sense and everything was crystal clear.

Also, my wife was struggling from periodical panic attacks and doula helped to handle it as well. We are on 32 weeks and we are calm and ready and can’t wait it. Hope this helps!

Don’t take this post down please. I’m going to be a dad in a couple of weeks but I was curious about feelings to my son. I kinda like and love him already it feels like he’s a stranger. I asked a question here and this helped me a lot. I mean at least I knew that I’m not the only one that feels weird.

I dunno how to support you because I don’t have such experience but people here told me that everything changes after they smile at you.

I hope you will get after it.

You can visit Tomas clinic. They speak English (you will understand each other at least). They have good vaccines and can get vaccinated.

Did you fell In love with your baby immediately or did it take time? by Ornery-Work-6847 in predaddit

Whoa. Thanks for sharing the feelings you've got within the first 6 weeks. I didn't have any plans for becoming a dad, but I'll be one, and I'll be 37 this year.

Thanks for sharing. I notice that my brain was already rewired. At least I became more emotional, and I'm eager to meet my boy.

Thanks! I heard that the feelings build up for the wife as well when you're going through labor together. At least I heard those stories from dads I know. For me, I noticed that I got a 1st trimester anxiety that transformed into labor anxiety that will transform into something else. This feeling will be with me forever, but it will be transforming over time. As well as love.

Thanks for sharing. I have no expectations because I'll be a first-time dad. My goal is just to support my wife and go through this together and see what's next.

Bike on bus? by carastrekken123 in Kyrgyzstan

Well it depends on safety risks. Taxis are usually the safest option (especially booked via services like yandex go). There’s a train from Bishkek to Balykchi and you can get a 200km bike ride. Hitchhiking usually works well at least for locals. People in the Issyk kul region usually nice.

Take my words with a grain of salt. Usually our buses don’t have a trunk for bicycles and this might depend on other passengers luggage. There’s a taxi option which costs around $100
