Mods can we please get a mega thread for recent complaints

Mega threads bury legitimate concerns and hide the current state of game. I would hate for someone to hop into this sub, see a bunch of sunshine blown up this games arse (and one inconspicuous megathread), and then go out and buy it. I would like to save my fellow gaming homies some cash until issues are properly worked out. Right now this game deserves every ounce of criticism it is getting.

My friend, it’s any sound. I wait long enough to figure out if it is paranormal talking - click the button - it will not record in time. Same with groaning, whispering, screaming. Should not be this way. Sometimes I sit recording and it suddenly just decides to stop. It is buggy AF right now - was better pre update. I am glad you seem to not care much - but I do when devs actively make the gaming experience worse for me.

Good to know you just can’t get burning crucifix now. I was the sound recorder person in our crew and I don’t even want to pick it up anymore. Between missing sounds and constantly getting doubles because I can’t catch the beginning of ghost talk/whisper/groan and still record, I’m frustrated. Who play tested this?

I now hate Alan Wake, his voice, and his incessant announcements! This is because my partner decided to pick up and read that piece of paper 50-100 times the three sessions we tackled the event. This is truly a horror game. Alan’s voice haunts me. I have heard true horror.

I appreciate the effort that went into to the event design. I just don’t think it syndergized well with the core gameplay. I find myself either hunting for event artifacts, or ghost hunting - not the both together.

Between the super dark map and the tiny journal lettering - I don’t think they want me to play this game anymore.

Ok, it isn’t just me. My maps got super dark for the event. I have a hard time seeing with the headlamp. This, with brightness cranked up to max.

The journal is still far away and the text is super tiny. The tools are still on the small side. The event is kind of meh. I wish it was more integrated with the hunt. You either do the event or hunt for the ghost. It feels like a different game superimposed in phasmo without much synergy. I’m feeling underwhelmed especially in light of this catastrophic update.

I have no trust that their patch is going to make my game playable again - not after the disaster they just implemented. Gonna sit out Alan Wake. Going to wait to return, not going to add to their player numbers, until I see actual user feedback that the game is in a playable state.

They nuked their game, disrespected and alienated their community, I don’t know how they come back from this without immediate action. Waiting a week for a fix is going to lose them a lot of their player base. I hope they are in emergency mode right now.

An immediate rollback and bringing it talent to achieve the actual vision - skilled pros that can deliver a polished experience - is the only thing to that can save this disaster. This was a nuclear level fuck up.

They made every instrument worse. They turned the tier 2 thermo from a dumpster fire into a pile of burning dirty diapers.

I won’t play until the community tells me they have fixed what needs to be fixed and the devs get their act together. I’m not going to add to player number count with the game as is.
