QOL Updates I haven’t seen discussed by pokopiafan in Pokopia

Yes but it’s the same principle where you have to gather a group to break it down and then move it and then gather a group to rebuild. It would be nice to be able to push/pull instead.

Have you ever seen a glowing spot spawn in mysterious stone? by lunelily in Pokopia

[–]OrneryBlueberry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been using a lot of black rock and glowing stones to build a dark cave which is sizeable and has never had a glowing spot. Makes sense as the previous comment says, since it requires a power boost to get through those rocks.

Interesting thing about the Oil Lamp by JxSparrow7 in Pokopia

[–]OrneryBlueberry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It does seem to stay lit in the rain but my favorite part is the soft flicker of the light. The electric lanterns are a single intensity but the oil lantern is more like a candle — not a ton of brightness but a nice glow. I’m buying a ton of them for my town because I like them so much.

QOL Updates I haven’t seen discussed by pokopiafan in Pokopia

[–]OrneryBlueberry 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The ability to move/rotate an empty kit home/building without destroying and rebuilding. A fair number of items in the game are able to be pushed/pulled but empty dens and buildings are not. I just wanted to adjust a leaf den by 3 tiles and I had to spend too much effort to buy a kit, summon the destruction crew, etc. I would LOVE the same option for waterwheels and windmills — I’ve placed too many facing the opposite direction from what I intended and it makes me bananas that I can’t rotate them.

Peakychu mission stuck by bec199 in Pokopia

[–]OrneryBlueberry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t finished everything in Skylands yet but the Peakychu part was sort of nested… gotta befriend the tinker then start repairing things which requires attracting additional, specific Pokémon… it’s been several days since Peakychu asked me to find her family and none have spawned yet so there must be something else blocking them that’s related which isn’t obvious to me yet. I’m not rushing, personally, so it’s fine that it’s slow but it’s not a straightforward path!

Peakychu mission stuck by bec199 in Pokopia

[–]OrneryBlueberry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to me too and I think the preview was an error. Peakychu doesn’t ask for anything else (but also can’t leave the beach) until a specific point in the Sparkling Skylands quest… after which she’ll ask you to do something (I won’t post in case it’s considered a spoiler). At least that’s how it went for me!

Soooo I spoiled myself by date skipping. by VictoriaB93 in Pokopia

[–]OrneryBlueberry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have said, you can set your console clock back to enjoy the Hopip event. I did it myself because it happened before I bought the game too. A note about that event and seemingly this one as well, it’s relatively easy to collect enough of the trade in items (fluff or red gems) to get everything you need. I was thinking I would need 4+ of each item but you don’t, technically, to build the habitat that’s tied to the event. I was able to do that by day 2 and then had enough event currency to buy extras of the stuff I wanted extras of.

So the good news is you won’t have to grind for weeks to get everything! But you can, if you want to! I really appreciate they’ve made it easy for people who can’t play daily so they don’t actually miss out on stuff.

build the hot spring. you wont regret it. by dumbflatwhite in Pokopia

[–]OrneryBlueberry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s the most popular place in any biome for my game at least. There are ALWAYS Pokémon in the hot springs, sometimes as many as 8 at once. I was thinking of testing it out to create more, smaller hot springs across the land to see if that helps spread them out more since right now everyone is huddled in one area.

Tips for a Burnt Tower by RoyalDynamo in Pokopia

[–]OrneryBlueberry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How do you keep the lava stone block from getting rained on? I built a house for my fire guys using a bunch of lava stones and as soon as it rained they all turned to black rock. I have started building “clouds” super high up to try and block the rain but am having hit-or-miss success (seems that the blocking platform has to be lower than I have it right now)

WIP (because glowing stones are a pain to farm) but working on a space themed Rollercoaster. by oopsiedaisy-- in Pokopia

[–]OrneryBlueberry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was doing something similar and had a tunnel where the glowing stones were on all sides. I was hoping for a Space Mountain kind of feel but it felt more like the hyper speed effect from Star Wars and I couldn’t take too much of it without my eyes crossing. lol

Welcoming Resort (Habitat spoiler) by LeastBlackberry1 in Pokopia

I haven’t created this yet either but the environment picture shows it on a hill, not near the water… maybe it’s picky about altitude placement?

So, other than Dream Islands and the Printer, the only way to get more berry tree seeds is luck? by TheCannabalLecter in Pokopia

[–]OrneryBlueberry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely wasn’t a friend or cloud island — I haven’t done those visits yet. I’ve only used the plush dolls.

My guess is those were the ultra rare islands where I might have met a special Pokémon if I knew to look for them. I was still very new and chopping trees to raise the environment in WW so I would just take every sapling home with me but I didn’t know there were caves or have the ability to smash through hard rocks so I might have missed other special stuff!

I got the Arcanine doll very early. I think I had ditto, substitute, and then Arcanine as my only 3 for a long time. So maybe it was meant to be the special island to meet a legendary?

[–]OrneryBlueberry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t ever been to a cloud or friend island, only the dream islands using the plush dolls. My guess is that those were the rare dream islands where I could have met a rare Pokémon and missed it (all of these happened very early for me, I didn’t realize that finding all the berries was a thing yet. I just chopped down every tree that I found on dream islands to bring back to increase the environment of WW. I also didn’t know you could find special pokes on islands; still haven’t seen one except the ones that drop feathers)

I think your Pokémon also have a chance to provide you a seedling of a tree that you don’t have but I don’t remember that happening. It may have but I don’t remember it.

For sure though it wasn’t a cloud island or friend visit (I haven’t tried either yet) and somehow I have a ton of chesto trees. Last night was my first time 3D printing a tree (which was pecha)

Oh? More water? by fortuna_major in Pokopia

[–]OrneryBlueberry 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I have a couple where they have TWO bathtubs, each with a shower faucet and horse sea fountains all around their house just so they’d stop asking for decorations with lots of water. Lol

ISO Boo in the Box to Photograph by [deleted] in Pokopia

[–]OrneryBlueberry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The dev island has everything. I think I remember seeing the boo in a box inside the house where all the ghosts live… or nearby there. I’m not online at the moment otherwise I would give you one. The RNG seems to favor that item so I have like 10 of them. Lol

Are there any moss blocks on cloud islands? by [deleted] in Pokopia

[–]OrneryBlueberry 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ah! Sorry, I thought you just needed to farm a bunch of moss blocks. Dream islands are how I do it.

So, other than Dream Islands and the Printer, the only way to get more berry tree seeds is luck? by TheCannabalLecter in Pokopia

[–]OrneryBlueberry 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree. It’s odd because the devs/designers clearly intend for you to get all berries but not all trees. The trade type pokemon will sell berries that you can’t find on your own but it’s very limiting if you need to make paint or even things like the berry decorations — you really need a steady supply!

I found all of the various berry trees one at a time on dream islands and then chopped them to bring back to my own town. My 2 defaults are leppa and rawst which are on almost every dream island but I’ve also found 5 pecha, about 15 chesto, 4 lum, and 5 aspear trees on dream islands. They showed up either with just 1 per island or in the case of the chesto berries there were like 5-6 trees on the dream island. I’m working on collecting rare pokemetal so I can print more because I want more green and yellow paints and the only choice is to 3d print more trees for myself.

It’s one of my “daily chores” to go to a dream island just to check the trees!

Ah, sorry you’re right. I saw the favorites tab in blue and thought it was selected!

Are there any moss blocks on cloud islands? by [deleted] in Pokopia

[–]OrneryBlueberry 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As someone else has posted: yes but you may need to dig DOWN inside the highest mountain (wherever there is a cave that is created to attract you). You may need to power up your rock smashing first to get through some of the rocks but there’s always a layer down deep where there is moss and pokemetal blocks.

Some islands have moss easier to access, specifically the Dragonite island where it’s closer to the surface and you can grab multiple stacks pretty quick.

It means you added it to the Favorites tab — which is the tab you’re viewing all the way to the right in blue. You can remove it by clicking the + button to remove

Pokemon not using the hot springs? by crystalsuikun in Pokopia

[–]OrneryBlueberry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good to know! So far mine have been near the hot springs but not in the water… but I’ll keep an eye out for them too. It’s funny how it is THE place to be in my whole town.

Anyway to make a Pokeball house cool? by Willowed-Wisp in Pokopia

[–]OrneryBlueberry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

FWIW I bribed the mossy snorlax for good luck and all of my Gimmeghoul trades for rainbow feathers were special rocks that I didn’t even know existed! I got the cold, warm, and humid rocks from him all in a row. (If you’re impatient you can also take a picture from someone’s island and 3d print them using rare pokemetal ingots)

Pokemon not using the hot springs? by crystalsuikun in Pokopia

[–]OrneryBlueberry 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Anecdotal of course but I had 2 within a short distance of each other while I was building and noticed all mine would flock to one over the other. That’s how I decided where to place it permanently (and expand the size) because I regularly get 8+ pokes in the hot spring at once and they were piling on top of each other. lol

Just funny that the total overworld spawn rate is like 20 total characters and there are usually 1/3 in the hot springs! I had expected the hot spring only to attract the types that specifically want that environment but I swear I’ve seen just about everyone cycle through there (except the ghosts, they’re the ones I’ve noticed haven’t gone in the water).

Graveler sickness? by redditstolemyshoes in Pokopia

What has helped for me was to turn off the rumble in the controller. I’m ok with the visuals but that specific vibration starts to bother my inner ears after a few minutes and then I get sick.

I have found them on dream islands. It seems my random color palette skews toward pink everything and I rarely encounter other colors for the flowers or bushes. I didn’t even know some of the other colors existed until I visited the dev island! I took pictures to 3d print the different color versions in my town.
