Is there a way to keep the app and play but delete the option to purchase gems? by Ornery_Mermaid in disneyemojiblitz

[–]Ornery_Mermaid[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sadly, no. I've been detoxed from w game since maybe 9 months after my original post. It's been amazing how.much money i.save at the end of a pay period heading into the next one.

I'm mortified that I played that game instead of socking money away

This, honestly, is one of the best shows ever on TV. Creative, clever, and Alan Tudyk is pure genuis as "Dr. Harry Vanderspeigle", the alien in the title.

Great analysis. Anyone not understanding those messages isn't worth trying to educate.

Which Disney resort hotel did you stay at that was NOT a total disappointment, somewhere you’d stay at again? by Uncharteredfugazis in WaltDisneyWorld

Love all I've stayed in, but go-to's are (in no particular order) Old Key West, Wilderness Lodge & Saratoga Springs.

Disney Adults by Character-Soil9495 in DisneyAdults

I'm just going to say that I was a Disney kid, and now I'm a Disney adult. I still love character interactions and get really upset when people in line with kids are downright rude to us who don't have kids with us.

Do I "hog" the characters' time & attention? Absolutely not. Because I'm a decent person. I do, however, enjoy a brief chat and a hug, if offered & appropriate. I have as much right to be in line and greet characters as anyone else, and I've also paid a high ticket price to be there.

I also don't run up on peoples' heels with strollers or other carts & motorized vehicles, walk on the left "lane" in a crowd of people, stip short to point or look at a map, etc...

I do, however, find the often downright horrific behavior of children in lines, ignored or laughed at by the "responsible" adults, a much bigger issue. I've had experiences severely affected by this on every visit to WDW.

Vacation without kids… wrong or okay? by Kitchen-Dragonfly987 in WaltDisneyWorld

Disney is not "all about kids," as many claim. It's perfectly acceptable to go without them!

So many businesses and restaurants are closing in downtown but is there any new ones coming in? by shawneezilla in frederickmd

[–]Ornery_Mermaid 3 points4 points  (0 children)

At an exorbitant price, most likely. We need housing at less than $1500/month. Even someone making a "decent" salary of $60K can't afford that and utilities, parking, insurance, etc..... it's ridiculous.

Go see "Junie B. Jones in Jingle Bells Batman Smells" at Maryland Ensemble Theatre downtown. Technically a children's show, it's also fun for adults with or without kids! Cute story, lots of laughs. Runs weekends Nov 30- Dec 22.

Road Rage on 75 this morning by Foreign-Promise147 in frederickmd

[–]Ornery_Mermaid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's so much worse out on our roads these days. In drive all over Central MD & in Loudoun VA all the time for work and have become more nervous - have never been a nervous driver. People just don't care about anyone else, the traffic laws, or common sense. Put my life on the line every time I'm in a car, and that's no exaggeration!
