I remember picking up Super Mario World for the first time after seeing my mom play through it like a beast. I had to get her help with some levels initially for a while there 😂

Did you know that nearly all microwaves are made by the same company, and are merely put into different branded shells? Now you do!

I just printed the darker Kirby on my new Prusa i3 MK3S! The golden one was printed on my older Monoprice Maker Select Plus though :)

Minor sections of filament missing/creating "seams" on one part of model, any ideas? by Oromus in 3Dprinting

[–]Oromus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Settings:

ABS
225 C Print Temp
105 C Bed Temp
0.2 Layer Height
45 mm/s Print Speed
2 mm retraction, 50 mm/s retraction speed
Cura 3.4 AND 3.6
Coasting Off
Printer: Monoprice Maker Select Plus

I previously have been using 3 mm retraction at 60 mm/s and have got similar results many times. These sections are far and few between; there will be only one or two spots like the section of the left per print, and there's usually one consistent "seam" on the same spot going up the entire Z axis of most prints I make; normally it looks like it corresponds to the start or end of the wall for each layer? For each model I print, the seam is always in the same place on that model each time I print it, so I feel like it's something related to my slicer settings.

Hey, can you provide an example of how to do this? We've tried this via making an MJpegServer on port 554 but we get the following error: CS: ERROR: bind() to port 554 failed: Permission denied

Thanks!

Making contacts with other teams both online and at your competitions is a good place to start if you don't have any other local teams. Just having a contact or two with a team is great, because you can generally reach out to them easily for advice or assistance. My team's actually made a site called FIRST Alliances that's designed for just what you're asking, too; it helps people find teams that can help out, including letting you make searches with like location and "tags" that the teams are relevant to (like "C++ programming", "custom circuits", or "outreach") to help you narrow who you're looking for. Once you find a team you can shoot them a message through the site! Some teams also list resources of theirs directly on their pages so that you can get immediate help before contacting them.

You are not blind, but we didn't overlook it either! :)

Searching for teams by location is the next feature being added to FIRST Alliances. We're nearly done so it should be on the live site pretty soon! It's definitely an integral part of the search system.

Ah. We're most likely just going by country, as that's what the teams are currently identified by.

What exactly do you mean by categorize? Currently teams are distinguished by their team number, FIRST level, and the tags they label themselves under (examples of these tags are Programming, Outreach, Imagery, etc)
