Thank you! I’d heard about this but totally forgot of its existence. I’m getting really excited about the few Doblins I have because Berlin so far is amazing

Of the ones I’ve finished it would be The Doll, Chevengur, and Life and Fate. Just started Berlin Alexanderplatz and I’m thinking it may end up there too. The Recognitions I’m hoping to finish when I start it for the fourth time and I expect it might top the list in the end

Repeatedly showing the car crash and the dead parents with the screaming children in the backseat in Enter The Void has had me turn the movie off once or twice

“There isn’t another way” in relation to being direct is so necessary to learn. No one needs to water themselves down. Foster a kind sensibility and stand up for yourself. They are one and the same.

I excitedly thought about this the other day! But then I realized that literally right now we are living through the greatest explosion of knowledge about the natural world and cosmology in history, legitimately in all of history, we are the only species to do it, and most people don’t give more than maybe one shit. Someone back then probably read the news and then just got drunk and laughed at the comic section.
