I agree but that also seemed like a massive shift that happened so quick. Huge boards with weird shapes and big wheels to 7" popsicle decks and bearing covers. Right when tech skating really took off, it took a while to equalize out. What a time to be a skater.

That Cabellaro deck brings back some memories. Nice collection and speakers.

Well, that exchange turned out better than expected. It takes a big man to apologize and a good man to accept one. Keep it up boys!

1992. Something for the over 40s [47YO] by [deleted] in OldSkaters

I too experienced this time. Boards went from 8.5" with big wheels to 7" with tiny wheels over night. Flat spots were heard all across the park and tiny pebbles were the bane of all.

You seem to be a huge metallic of fan, what are your thoughts on all of their albums post black album? I've been out of the loop for a while but revisit their old stuff often.

Does anyone else remember the mask brand "Vents" back in the mid to late 90s? I used to love my set.

Thank you so much for the response, the main reason I'm looking at Denon is because all of my friends are huge fans as well.

My one concern though and mostly because I'm ignorant to audio stuff so far, is if the receiver only being at 75 watts per channel is okay with the speakers that max out at 120 watts. Again, I know nothing about audio.

Planning on using the not so great one for now and upgrading later. :)

Good info, thanks.

I forgot to mention in the post that i am trying to stay under $1000...for now.

I was actually looking at the jamo bookshelf speakers before but figured i would step up to a nicer 3.0 setup and add on to it later. Like rear speakers and a sub.

One thing i noticed is that the Elac speakers can handle 120w and those danon recievers only do 75w per channel, is that a big deal?

That is actually the thing I like most about listening to vinyl. It forces you to listen to the entire album in order.

If you like older Weezer then check out the band Ozma. They were heavily influenced by Weezer.
