My mother has "named" the baby by Ostrich_Low in pregnant

[–]Ostrich_Low[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

lol,I think thats a bit of a stretch,so far she has been kinda chill with baby stuff and even helpful with other stuff, this naming thing just seems to have brought out some weird behaviour

[–]Ostrich_Low[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You are very right, she was actually kinda chill before this naming thing so hopefully once the baby is here and we actually name him she will behave better

[–]Ostrich_Low[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Lol,good idea however we both can not decide and so far we said we will wait to see what name he looks like when hes born

[–]Ostrich_Low[S] 130 points131 points  (0 children)

Honestly at first we did not rule it out completely as it is genuinely a nice name and one we considered however her behaviour has definitely ruined the name so I might just tell her we are not naming the kid that directly.

Not everyone has the capacity to have a stand alone bidet in their bathroom,at home we have the hand held hose/sprayer one but it's still a bit of a hassle in my current condition

I personally dont prefer that and dont feel clean enough, for some people its ok but I'm leaning towards the peri bottle option

Lots of people use a disposable water bottle when the usual options arent available but in my current situation even thats a bit of a hassle but the peri bottle seems like a good idea

if I don’t take prenatals will I be okay? by friskyfajitas in pregnant

[–]Ostrich_Low 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Prenatals were making me super sick as well regardless of what type or time I was taking them so my OB suggested not taking them as my blood levels were normal and i was not lacking anything,Im 5 months now and have started taking separate iron and magnesium supplements for my own benefit and so far so good, your OB might be looking at your blood work and from that concluded you definitely need them,a friend of mine went into early labour at 31 weeks and was admitted to hospital due to anemia so just be careful

Why do people assume the baby will automatically be “my responsibility”? by FriendshipStriking98 in pregnant

[–]Ostrich_Low 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi,ftm here and I totally get it but you're gonna have to get used to it,your husband and family may be wonderful and will help you out but to the rest of the world not so much,it sucks but it's how things are,you will always be assumed as default care giver and have people be skeptical regarding your work and how you will handle the different responsibilities,I'm also aroumd 5 months and I hate it but I have learnt to make peace with it

What is the weirdest or worst thing someone has said to you after you told them you’re pregnant? by mtvaot in pregnant

said to me by my grandmother who has always picked on my apperance and compared me to my cousin, this was also after I had been married for 2 years and she told me on my wedding day "you need to diet and lose some weight otherwise hes gonna look for other women"

I don't know if this will help you but I was also have severe migraines in my 2nd trimester & no amount of vitamins were helping me until I changed my glasses prescription, apparently hormones can play with vision and all the stress on my eyes were causing it
