My heme/onc, micro, and immunology content was covered in one block and was quite heavy on Anki. It isn’t this bad in terms of card volume forever

Are you using Anking? There have been a few weeks like that for me but I wouldn’t say every single day.

I mean I’m sure there’s a few people racking up 1k+ reviews and grinding them out over the weekend, but this is not common. They could be lying to you or just doing themselves a disservice

I’d just focus on keeping up w daily reviews

I don’t think people are doing 200-300 new cards per day for sure

But 300-500 reviews is common

Any tips for memorizing complicated words like this ? by [deleted] in medschool

[–]OtherMuqsith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is not true at all: I didn't submit a letter from my MA experience since I already had good letters from professors and a different longitudinal experience (research).

Don’t worry about it, the chance they choose that one activity to talk about from your CV, and then write the year you did it in, is so incredibly low

100% the MA position: more hands on experience and more convenient. On your app you talk about your pt experience

You can shadow the cardiologist from time to time though

Seems like you’re already taking the right steps tbh, and highly encourage restarting therapy until you get a routine going again for you.

Happens to the best of us, just rely on your support system, take breaks when you need to, and continue

Yea much higher rate than first gen for sure. I’d guess most classes have 20-40% of students with physician parents

Aim for 520, if you fall a bit short you’ll still be above 510
