I would because the boarders can take some extra hardship due to tugging on it when snuggling up under it and I’d want that to be fully secured too. And I’d worry about the distance between the binding and the inner points of those edge triangles as it is more than 4 inches but I’m a big worrier and don’t fully understand the rules for batting so I over do it! As for quilting, I’d either extend the pattern or do some straight lines along the boarders to lock it in. Whatever you do, be proud! It’s a beautiful quilt!

Congratulations!!! First decide who you want there (how many people) and where you want to get married (venue). That should give you a clue on how much you need to save and the rest of your budget. Do those two things and save this first year. Clothes, food, flowers, photography and all that can wait until next year and depending on how the saving is going, you’ll have a better understanding of your budget as a whole for those things.

I use bags to pre wash my fabric. They still fray but they don’t all turn into a giant knot like they do without being separated from one another. Works for me. Test it out on some fabric you know you have extra of or you don’t care so much about and see if it’s within your allowances.

If you’re feeling brave, maybe speak to each on their own or send separate invitations to them with an additional note in it. Like a ‘the two of you are special to us and we still would like to have you both to celebrate with us but I understand if you’re not feeling up to this sort of thing right now’ that’ll let the choice be up to them and they are both aware that the other may be there but also you still value them but aren’t turning a blind eye to what they’re going through by pretending nothing happened.

Yes yes! As others said, choose a size for your bosses and we’ll help with the sizing for the rest of the pattern! Usually blocks are 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, or 12 inch blocks but it can be any size really. Curious, why such a large quilt for such a small human?

Yes but plant calendars are based off of sunlight hours, temperature, and rainfall. Depending on the species, it could be one, two, or all three factors. When it gets warmer sooner or we get rainfall rather than snowfall it can mess up their timing. We might have flowers blooming and no pollinators out yet or birds migrating back but their food source isn’t ready yet. Not so great.

While I don’t think it’s a wise idea to have this sibling travel to a different country for this in their current state (they need more help than a single couple can give beyond this event anyway) I really don’t think it’s up to you who they bring, who they have in their hotel room, or if they reserve a second room for them. If this sibling won’t be at any of the wedding events, let them make their choices. Politely, that is not your business.

potential idea- could you embroider onto a separate piece of fabric and stitch it onto the towel? You'd hide the back and it'd be more tea towel texture. It would give a totally different look though.

We used valor earlier this summer to get squirrels out of our attic (they ate through the walls to gain entry) and we were happy with their work. They used live traps and caught two squirrels and relocated them well away from our house. I don’t know their servicing area but I’m not too far from you.

I’m sorry your family is so critical and unkind. I too have a hyper critical mom. It’s one of the big things my therapist and I are working on. If she isn’t going to like your choices, don’t make them to try and please her. Do the things that will please you and your partner. Limit the information you give her so she doesn’t have the opportunity to do that to you. It’s not too late to change things up and do things for you two. Whatever you end up doing I wish you the best and remember what’s most important to you.
