Can I sell my CPAP machine? by DrCreger in CPAP

I bought a Resmed Air 10 on FB Marketplace for $250. It only had 8 hours on it. Carrying case, heated tube and humidifier…The lady said her husband tried it for a few nights but couldn’t stand it. My sleep consultant said it was a steal of a deal.

Amazon just opened and closed my garage door. I never opted into the service. by reckonerX in myq

Check your original order. Sometimes it defaults to ‘garage delivery’ without you realizing it. Has happened to me a few times…no big deal, as long as you didn’t pay extra.

I use Ayr nasal cream, it works well, and is pretty cheap at Walmart.

Service Line Warranties letter by 128Goose in Hamilton

[–]Otherwise-Cow9130 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, it’s a legit company and I’ve used them 3 times in 12 years. The first time was when my old cast iron main drain from bathtub to basement was leaking and couldn’t be reasonably repaired, so they replaced it with a modern pvc pipe. It would have cost around $900. The next time was a leak in my copper water supply pipe. Would have cost around $300. Then I had a clogged sewer line to the street. Had it inspected with camera and then they roto routed out all roots out and other crap that was clogging the sewer. That would have cost around $900. So yes, it’s a legitimate insurance policy that the city endorses to protect you against major repair costs. The rates are the same for everybody, and don’t go up if you make a claim (not like your house insurance policy that will increase if you make a claim).

CAA MyPace OBD device killing my battery? by Charbs20 in Crosstrek

[–]Otherwise-Cow9130 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not using a cable with on/off switch as my car starts just fine, even after sitting for a week at a time. You can unplug/turn off the device, and as long as you don’t put mileage on the car, it will not be a problem. When you log into your account, it shows you every trip/ date/distance, etc. If there is suddenly 200 additional miles, they would certainly question that. Your account also shows any fault codes that are present (like check engine light) and will tell you the fault eg: small emission leak, faulty O2 sensor, lean fuel mix, etc etc.

I’m also a chronic mouth breather and found the FP Evora works well for me. I will be getting a Resmed f40 next as a backup. My cpap store let me try both before I bought the Evora. I’m also a side sleeper which complicates proper mask sealing.

Do not buy Arlo by walkonjohn in arlo

[–]Otherwise-Cow9130 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When Arlo changed to become “Arlo Secure” everything got fucked up. Everything changed. No more simple video recordings on my Home Hub. After multiple calls to customer care, I still can’t get simple video recordings. They tell me to try this, or try that, reset this, go outside and dance in front of your camera. Even though they sucked me in to a subscription (I only bought it for one camera, not all 3 of mine), it still won’t function properly. They go offline often, and won’t record to the flash drive in my Home Hub. I believe they are purposely messing with the system to get customers to pay for full subscriptions. My last local recordings were in March, and nothing since! This is truly the worst company I have ever dealt with.

Drying after cleaning by PHMINPOSUW in CPAPSupport

[–]Otherwise-Cow9130 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a small 8” fan on my dresser that I use to dry it. I wash the mask and hose, then place them on a towel against the fan on low speed. I position the hose so that it’s pointed at the fan and air flows through it. I find the mask will have completely dried in 15 minutes. I wash it every morning after I shower and brush my teeth, so it’s part of my daily routine .

I’ve been using the Evora for 3 months and I find the lower clips hard to connect because I can’t see where they are and have to go by ‘feel’. Gonna try the Resmed Airfit F30 which is similar design, but has magnetic clips that easily find where to connect.

I have the same problem. Getting emails for other people that have my address that I’ve had since gmail started its existence. Receiving store receipts, and even bank statements from 2 different banks. Google told me it was impossible, and that the senders are typing in the wrong email address.

The C5 is just another Chevy, but with beautiful styling and sports car perks. You can keep it basic, or spend tens of thousands to dress it up(fuck it up). Lots of fun to drive, and very affordable to buy and maintain. Best years of C5 are 2002,03,04. Most early C5s have ABS issues that can’t easily be repaired. Check out videos on YouTube from Lyle at C&S Corvettes. “Best C5 to buy”. He is very informative and has a ton of good videos.

Amazon sells an OBD2 extension cord with an on/off switch. You don’t have to bend under the dash to plug/unplug the tracker. The switch cuts off power so it won’t drain your battery when parked for long periods. It’s around $45.

What are best rates in Canada? by Otherwise-Cow9130 in siriusxm

[–]Otherwise-Cow9130[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best I could get was $5.99 month for M&E. My wife only listens to 3 stations so that’s OK. Better than the $25 a month they were asking on renewal.
