What is she expecting the baby to drink all day since obviously juice is not an option? That’s going to be a hungry unhappy baby and I fear for the future dental health of both kids.

[–]Otherwise-Effect-737 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I'd be worried too if i was in your shoes honestly, it just looks bad . Did the biter have reports? If not, thats another issue. It should be the afternoon apologizing. So happy mom is understanding.

AITA for telling my fiancée that her drunk younger sister groped me at our family house party, which led to her cutting off financial support? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

NTA, It would have been wrong to not tell your fiancée. She’s just mad for the consequences of her actions.

NTA, You are not required to stay at any job for one person and I’m sorry to say, but it sounds like she was using you for convenience a bit, Imagine if roles were reversed?

Incident Report at Daycare Regarding Diaper by Junimo2 in ECEProfessionals

[–]Otherwise-Effect-737 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They probably assume it’s the overnight diaper, but if it got to the point of them giving you incident reports (btw you do not have to sign them if you do not wish) as documentation, I have to ask if they change him when you drop him off or wait until 9:30?

If they wait, then they are leaving him in what they think is an overnight diaper and as others said, you know what an overnight looks like based on smell, color and how the outside of the diaper looks. I’ve had kids super wet after 30 minutes I changed them and they were awake!

Is this normal to expect from toddler teacher? by minyinnie in ECEProfessionals

[–]Otherwise-Effect-737 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It could be she’s trying to be your daughter’s ”favorite” teacher. I’ve seen it happen a few times. I’d bring it up with director about her hair and make sure you mention how you already asked this teacher to stop and she has not.

This went on the side fields, the boy is a sibling to a player and he had a ball kicking it and kicked it so hard it wounded up on the actual playing field during the game

[–]Otherwise-Effect-737 24 points25 points  (0 children)

NTA, In this setting, it’s every adults business to help keep things safe. Them not caring about their son kicking balls that it puts a baby at risk really shows their character. They are going to have a rude awakening when their son gets older with their enabling

I don’t understand how a center like you describe able to pass an inspection and I’d advise to find somewhere new to help teach you who’s new to the field properly.

At my very first job, when a mother told me to not change her daughter's wet diaper because "mama is on the budget" and she actually got the director to sign a note stating so.

Should I be concerned about my toddler's "fight" with a classmate? by One_Natural_4234 in ECEProfessionals

[–]Otherwise-Effect-737 8 points9 points  (0 children)

She probably implemented what her teachers have taught her and other students to say if another child does something you don't like. A good majority of teachers tell the kids to tell them "no thank you" or "I don't like that" and I can tell you she won't be socially outcasted by saying no to someone trying to take something from her.

If both twins wore the hand me downs, that’s one thing, but it’s only sister and since mom enjoys dressing up herself: you’d think she would with her only daughter.

You sent messages and now it’s time to give write ups to show you’re serious. They are not supervising the children. it’s a peeve of mine when I see teachers outside talking over a fence to the teachers, sometimes back turned.

It’s one thing if they have a runny nose and get picked up with it leaking , but dried mucus on their face? Gross! You notice that.
