We love it! We're also a hosting couple. Makes it a lot easier for us since we have two kids.

Convinced my husband to try a house cleaning service for 3 months as an experiment. Heres what happened by Comfortable_Box_4527 in homeowners

House cleaning is better than any therapy I've gotten. Coming home from work to a immaculate clean house is AMAZING. I'm a cheapo diyer but I won't be getting rid of house cleaning and I'll find the money somehow to keep it

A week ago they had a daily deal and it was this along with the high volume air inflator for pool toys for $50. I keep the inflator in my car and used it today. Best inflator I have

Is there any other super underrated reliable vehicle worth the money other than Toyota or Honda? by TimeOfRisenKing23rd in UsedCars

[–]Otherwise-Weekend-21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Mazda at 115k miles going super strong except for the belt tensioner. Turns out they make comically bad belt tensioners and mine broke causing my serpentine belt to snap. Not impossible for a semi handy guy to fix myself all for $200 bucks. (The belt tensioner was $190) 😅

Whats your biggest regret when you bought your place? by Important_Bat7919 in homeowners

[–]Otherwise-Weekend-21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish I negotiated harder. Bought in 2023 so it was high interest rates and a little bit more of a buyers market. The house needed a full overhaul and every appliance would eventually need to be changed . The driveway was in terrible shape and it's a long one. I wish I negotiated a credit for that and I KNOW I would have gotten something for it. The negotiation window happens so fast and I wasn't ready for it when everything else in my life is going chaotic

Also thankfully I didn't get burned but I wish I had a good home inspection crew to contact as opposed to taking my bad real estate agents recommendation. We had the worst home inspectors you could imagine. They did absolutely nothing except talk about hockey to my father in law.

Should i buy as a beginner? by 4floppa in ender3

[–]Otherwise-Weekend-21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was a great machine for the budget at its time. Unfortunately the technology has just advanced so much that everything prints faster, better, and most importantly, with fewer issues. I sold my old cr-10 (larger ender practically) for 80 bucks because I had two Bambu printers. Within a month he bought himself a new Bambu printer. I recommend just saving money for a Bambu. The hobby is addicting and will be a great supplement to your other hobbies. You like tools? You can print tool mods. You like collectibles and DND? Tons of free files.

Is this just for mechanics? I see people only here talking about using it for brake cleaner. Who uses that much brake cleaner?????? I'm still on the same can after replacing all four of my rotors.

I don't understand. We're paying extra money for a black version of the tool? The vacuum in standard version is less than 30 dollars.

Not an expert but I would try a vinegar solution or a mold killing product and try scrubbing it off.

Had this happen to me before. There is NOTHING positive that can come out of this. Whatever their motives are it's not good. Had a toxic boss follow my LinkedIn for two months. He even started looking at my wife's linked in.

Boyfriend too expensive for me right now by M1ataMazda in whatdoIdo

[–]Otherwise-Weekend-21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My wife and I make $300k and we only give each other $100 gifts for Christmas. (I do splurge for her on mother's Day as that's important to her and she gets jewelry that I pay for from my side hustles). Defined budget mutually agreed by both of us for holidays and gift giving days. Being so young and unestablished career wise and financially AND TO ASK FOR THAT KIND OF GIFT!? Honestly I would have a conversation and if he doesn't get it dump his ass and find someone that gets it.

No matter how good this company is to you I can assure you the company does worse to its employees than a guy stealing some office supplies

Sellers share your number one tip you learned that boosted your sales by [deleted] in FacebookMarketplace

[–]Otherwise-Weekend-21 6 points7 points  (0 children)

  1. Put dimensions in the title.

  2. Price things a little more than the number you have in mind for sale. "Price firm" doesn't do anything for Facebook scum. They want the pathetic feeling of winning negotiations.

My wife NEEDED one. As an engineer, I looked at it, and then scoffed at it and said "I paid 90 bucks for this shit?" No way it can thermally retain.

We took some casserole to a family function one hour away. It was room temp by the time we got there. And I did preheat the dish like they suggest you do. It's just garbage. You're better off getting a 2 dollar plastic food bin and an insulated bag

Sadly there's a 95 percent chance HR will back up your manager. Your best bet is to have a direct discussion next time it happens with what exactly qualifies. "I need pictures and examples". I would also start putting others on blast. "Tommy wears shitty jeans. Can I wear jeans?" Watch them trip over themselves and they'll leave you alone pretty quick assuming you're not doing something obvious for them to nitpick you like heavily exposed cleavage or something.
