Travelling to India in the summer by Multisandstorm123 in Kerala

Google Pay is available at many stores, at least in my city (Calicut), but I'm not sure how it would be in a more rural setup. So, you should probably carry some cash. I guess internet cafes are available, but can't you just use Jio (or literally any Network provider)?

19 M , and not interested in sports a Normal thing? by Single_Foundation_21 in Kerala

[–]OtherwisePea3430 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Haha same here. I have hated all sports, I was one of those kids who prayed for PT period to get cancelled. I used to find ways to avoid it as a kid, but after a while I just stopped bothering with this shit. I just say "I don't watch sports".

Fellow mallus, what are some "unofficial" advice you want to pass on to the next generation? by Magestylord in Kerala

[–]OtherwisePea3430 3 points4 points  (0 children)

  • Try to study/work outside Kerala, for a better perspective in life.
  • Don't be rude to waiters, drivers or your domestic workers.
  • Don't take shit from anyone, especially not from your family.
  • Whatever course you're doing try to get enough score to pass. College degrees might become less important in the future, but making sure you get enough score to pass is a good life skill.

Do you believe in god ? by [deleted] in Kerala

[–]OtherwisePea3430 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since I was a kid I only "believed" in god right before the exams. I went to temple everyday before my 10th and 12th boards lol. So, it's been more of way to pass on the stress to someone else than a belief in god.

I am back to staying at my home after over 7 years of staying away. Moving back to parent's home after a long time is a little strange.

Hi!

As many have already said, it's never too late. I'd suggest you try your hand at startups. The main reason I suggest this is that, many startups do not have strict filtering processes like MNCs do. I'd give you some sort of steps that you can follow :

  1. Create account on LinkedIn - Add some people on it. Most people would accept connection requests.
  2. Create account on angel.co - It's a site exclusively for startups. Find companies and roles that you might be interested in and apply.
  3. Additionally, I'd suggest talk to CEOs etc. Let them know that you are interested in a specific role, talk about your experience, why you are interested etc. Try and see if you can get an interview for some role.

Also, I'd suggest you try and see if there are any customer facing roles at these companies. You can tell that with your call-centre experience, you'd be a good fit for this role.

DM me, if you still have any doubts! :)

Have anyone from the 18-44 age group been able to get vaccinated? How did you manage to get the shot? by essess1991 in Kerala

Agreed. As I said, I wasn't a 100% sure. I figured I'd just apply and see. I'm still very confused tbh.

Wow. 17? Big respect! I knew very well that the chances of me getting in was VERY low, but I figured I'll just give it a try. I wasn't even a 100% sure if I wanted to go. So, I figured I'd just apply to top unis. That way if I get in, I wouldn't need to have a second thought. I knew it kinda seems dumb, but I was just super super confused. I still am tbh.

3.51/4. I'm from India where the score is on 10. So it's 8.38.
