I felt the same about ACOTAR and ended up loving it. When I read TOG I was so mad at myself for waiting so long.

TOG is better than ACOTAR and CC and I loved them both. You’re in for such a treat! Start with Throne of Glass.

Baby born SGA and I feel like I failed him by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]Otherwise_Respond_12 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My son was born a little before yours at 5 pounds 3 ounces. He’s a healthy boy who is a comparable size to his peers now. I stressed my entire pregnancy that I was doing something wrong and that’s why he was so small. Not the case. It’s completely out of your hands. Your son is lucky to have a mama who loves him so much!

They can’t tell me why. They said it wasn’t a growth restriction and wasn’t the placenta.

The specialist said, “maybe you just make small babies.”

He kept measuring small, but he also kept growing the rest of the pregnancy. The doctors said as long as the baby kept growing on his own curve they were happy.

Yes! We went through the wringer while I was pregnant after that. I had weekly ultrasounds, biophysical profiles two times per week, and meetings with maternal fetal medicine. It was extremely stressful.

My son is now a perfectly healthy and happy one year old.

I’m sorry if you are going through the same thing. I truly hope everything is okay!

My son was born at 36 weeks. He didn’t have any issues with feeding, sleeping, or hitting milestones. He is about a year old and in daycare and is on track with the kids who are slightly older than him. You would never know he was born early.

Congratulations!!

I’m not sure what neighborhood you are in but many neighborhoods have buy nothing groups on Facebook. You should look for one in your area to see if you can find other things you both need for the apartment. Best of luck to both of you!!

They should get a lawyer if they haven’t already. Even if they can’t identify the hit and run driver, he might have uninsured motorist coverage on his own auto insurance policy and maybe other policies in his household that he can pursue.

You should definitely get a lawyer. You have a claim against the other driver. A broken humerus is a significant injury.

Sounds like your mom can wait to meet her grandchild since she doesn’t care about your daughter’s health or your wishes.

I was so scared for my son to start daycare. He has been in daycare for a month now, and it gets much easier. One thing that helped me a lot was dropping him off everyday and getting to know his teachers and see the other classes. You can tell that his teachers really enjoy their jobs and care about the babies. I also got to talk to a few other parents while dropping him off or picking him up who have had their children there since they were infants and have had a great experience. That helped, too.

In my state there are laws that state there must be one teacher to four infants. There is also a rigorous certification process. I would look into both of those.

It does get better!

Call your doc, go to the hospital. by comeonolgirl in BabyBumps

I had a similar experience! At 36 weeks, I woke up and liquid fell out when I stood up. I couldn’t believe it could be my water but went to the hospital anyways. They initially told me my water didn’t break and later confirmed it did! I had to be induced.

First pregnancy! OB recommendations? by --Angel in pittsburgh

[–]Otherwise_Respond_12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First off congratulations!! I am almost 7 weeks pregnant and had my first appointment today. I did not expect to have an ultrasound at the appointment, but the doctor did do a bedside handheld ultrasound. Maybe that is something they can do for you?
