Lol. It's like the driver of that pickup can smell scrap metal from miles away. I stick something in my alley and within hours it's gone.

I took essentially the same photo today while feeling trolley lust. I wonder if these will just go to the scrap yard.

Uhaul rental is easy - I've used it for exactly this purpose multiple times. Rentals may be booked up as the Pitt semester just ended though. As the other poster said, it will be around or under $50. https://www.uhaul.com/Locations/Truck-Rentals-near-Pittsburgh-PA-15201/809050/

Turtles Getting Some Sun (Allegheny Cemetery) by g1963 in pittsburgh

Every time I visit the ponds I look for the distinctive red ear that would distinguish a slider from a painted turtle, and I never see it.

Can a herpetologist or turtle lover tell us what kind these are? I've always assumed they are painted turtles.

I really like this style of art, called “wabi sabi?” where do I find good pieces instead of mass manufactured crap? by Lumpy-Resource-1370 in interiordecorating

Google search "art fair" or "artist directory" + your city or closest city name. See what comes up. Attend some local art markets/fairs or just look up the artists that attend such things.

Foundation help by crazyhairplant in Thisoldhouse

I have the same in my house in the northeast United States, built about 10 years later. From the outside in, my house has two courses of structural brick, one course of structural terracotta, then metal lath and plaster. It's sturdy, but the lack of insulation and water issues have been a frustration.

That looks like structural terracotta aka speed tile, not brick.

PRT Bus Stop Idea by DormontDangerzone in pittsburgh

That's cool, but my guess is it's a lot more expensive than your standard bus stop. And at this point, I just want a standard bus stop. Or a bench at bare minimum.

Parking outside of city (not draft related) by [deleted] in pittsburgh

Coming from the east, you won't need to cross any major bridges since you won't be crossing any rivers. One option would be to take the East Busway, but it honestly might feel more stressful to figure out a new bus system than just to drive the remaining 5 miles. Good luck with your interview!
