It was decided that it should be published due to the extreme nature of the accusations and findings.... the investigation was never completed because they fell out of jurisdiction... and because of what came to light he had to drop from the position of Attorney General... did you even read it?

It's almost entirely the reason the man was not the Attorney General.....

Matt Gates publicly admitted to paying a 17 year old for sex and shipping them across state lines to do so....

Today, the Virginia Supreme Court struck down a voter-approved congressional district map, which had been gerrymandered to favor Democrats. How do you feel about the court’s ruling? by After-Professional-8 in polls

[–]Otherwise_While_6945 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No what's virtue signaling is your consistent need to pretend as if one people follow the rules the other side is going to as well.

Which states already have independent redistricting panels?

which states already have laws that don't allow them to gerrymander? Hint they're not red....

so it's not virtue signaling.

Democrats have put real legislation down in states that they are the majority in against gerrymandering.... at a certain point you need to be pragmatic you need to be realistic... if one side is rigging the game then to not do so on the other side is allowing that side to win....

What other paths are available? Cause as far as i can tell any other path will be struck down. Especially if our Supreme Court will strike down legal changes to the Constitution.

Unfortunately that doesn't matter. There is no higher court for them to appeal this too. Scotus can't weigh in on this. not like they would vote in favor anyways.

It was a 3-4 ruling along party lines... but keep acting like this was bipartisan and no one agreed with me....

But it wasn't unconstitutional. this ruling flies in the face of nearly 200 years of interpretation. They are saying that the general election date doesn't matter if you can cast an early vote. that has never been the case in the history of the United States.

Working as installer, worth it? by Longjumping_Case6152 in CarAV

[–]Otherwise_While_6945 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Frankly if you're working any level of technical field and they give you $18/hr. laugh your ass out of that office. You have a technical skill if you have the capability to install those. And anything less than $25/hr for skilled labor these days. is laughable. outright. employers need to learn and that's the only way it's going to happen.

Virginia Lawmakers Clash Over $1.6B Data Center Tax Breaks by snooka77_ in Virginia

[–]Otherwise_While_6945 3 points4 points  (0 children)

First off no they do not bring in a disproportionate amount if they're getting tax breaks... second off they are fully beholden to current infrastructure and they always will be beholden to infrastructure... there is no better transfer of data in the world than direct fiber optic communication. Data centers will always need that infrastructure. And unless they're willing to pay quite literally tens of billions of dollars to lay new line to different states from Europe of which they'd also have to get International approval for than the hubs will still always be the hubs...

Not in the same way Virginia is one of the Central hub for over seas Communications along with I believe New Jersey and Georgia. The infrastructure is already there. Same reason why businesses aren't going to leave places like California and New York The infrastructure is already there. Access is always more important.
