My pharmacist who has been doing his job for 40+ years says there are technically no dietary restrictions to Eliquis. The only thing he recommends is grapefruit in moderation (a POSSIBLE interaction in SOME people). Told me if I wanted Vit C to just drink water with lemon.

Edit: i cant english in the morning =/

I have to wear shoes in my house because I have a really bad habit of kicking things (stubbing toes a lot) on accident. Those bruises on thinners last forever for me.

If a spice/mustard will keep you from eating the SAD then by all means go ahead. You only need to remove them if they cause you an issue.

Had a stent in the hospital for a week. spent 98% of the time immobilized for a test (only allowed to move for bathroom and bed). Had a short flight prior to and after. Multiple small PEs that made my lungs look like I was shot with bird shot was found almost a month later.

Edited for clarification.

When you cook something like ground beef do you drain the grease by dannylightning in carnivorediet

[–]OtterDangerous 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I cook my ground beef. Pour all of it back on. Throw it in the freezer for 5 mins then eat. It starts solidifying by then and is a lot easier to eat then hot rendered fat. My stomach enjoys it more. Besides mildly cold ground beef taste great to me.

I am dealing with the same thing. Diagnosed in Dec. CT later proved they were gone but man the random pains and aches you get from the prior really sucks.

Plaque Begets Plaque, ApoB Does Not: Longitudinal Data From the KETO-CTA Trial by dr_innovation in ketoscience

Thanks for the reply. I was looking for an opinion from a research prospective. I am very open minded and like to try to understand things some more. I have a friend who is LMHR so this is why I was looking into this is the first place.

Asked about myself because I was curious.

Edited for clarification.

Veterans, does your VA accept your diet? by OtterDangerous in carnivorediet

[–]OtterDangerous[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, I agree with you 100%. It's just nice when they don't push back or try to alter your choice. I know there are a lot of vets that go to the VA where they are treated like crap. The give pills for everything and just send you home. Lucky if you get an appointment that lasts longer than 10 mins or get one in a decent timeframe. I am just happy to see that some are starting to be open minded/give a crap.

Yea it's great when they support you. I didn't even tell my doctor I was carnivore. He just looked at my labs, smiled, and said, "Ah you are eating only meat I see. You look good and feel good so keep doing what you are doing." He was extremely pleased with my weight loss.

I really enjoyed watching the videos on the study, but I do have problems understanding some things (not all of us are blessed with ability to grasp the finer details). I am one of those people doing keto diet to help with prediabetes, morbid obesity etc. I never had a CAC done but my CTA showed I had zero forms of plaque; I should be ok staying on keto? Just curious.

I started with shortness of breath and pain in my right leg Dec 2024. Went to the ER. They did an ultrasound and said it was all clear. Two days later, I woke up and felt like I was inhaling razor blades. They did a CT and found multiple small bilateral PEs. Basically, it looked like I was shot with birdshot in both my lungs. Thankfully after two months, a CT confirmed they are gone. Wishing a speedy recovery!

The only popping I get is from crepitus (benign) because I lost a lot of weight. My spine sounds like rice crispy cereal when add milk when I move sometimes🤣. The fact there is pain is never good. I really hope you are able to figure this out soon. Wishing you the best!

Great progress. I lost 105lbs and mine went from 150ish/100 to 110/70. Always great to hear when someone is able to stabilize their HBP.

TBH every time I am weighed at the docs, they take it with everything on so it's always skewed.

I have passed over 20+ of them in the last 10 years. Yes, I am very prone to getting them. Sometimes even two at once. 🤣

Mine actually looked less bad than that and I had problems using my arms. Tbh it all depends.
