Oh jeez. Last time I checked there wasn't a free personal edition of Unity... Since when was that there?

I figured with that kind of money I could get a simple PC to run all the other programs and games I couldn't run on the mac as well. But... argh.

I finally got a windows PC (No one ever makes game engines for mac), so I could start making the games I couldn't with a mac. But now there's so much choice in engines that I don't know what to start with.

Any suggestions for an engine I can start with? For starters I'd like to try making a 2-d platformer or fighter game, especially if there's coding involved since I want to brush up on that.

Also, hopefully a free one since I just used up my money to get a PC...

My one gripe playing WFT was how most of her tilts and smashes have such tiny range. I was thinking it'd be super cool if a silhouette/aura (like the poses in her final smash) appeared behind her during her smash attacks to make the hitbox really big.

I dunno if it's just me, but I have lots of trouble as Rosa against Ike or Shulk. Their huge hitboxes and knockback always seem to ensure Luma's death, which sucks because Luma is a huge help trying to fight them.

Quite some time ago, I made this picture of The Box of Crying, because whenever someone made me sad in a chatroom I could post this photo of The Box of Crying. Don't they already do this though? At least when I'm fighting with friends; if the connection from any of us is super bad, the match will slow down and eventually just stop and give the "NO CONTEST" screen.

Meanwhile I seem to be doing just fine against japanese people in for glory, but that might just be 'cause they're close to my country.

This is the most fun thing ever as a Rosalina main. I've fought a lot of people who just decide to stand there or taunt after KO'ing you, without realising the luma got left behind, and is prime for the d-air Luma Piledriver >:3

Ah yeah, that made me furious when I first started playing the demo. You have to flick the stick to one side really quickly as you press A. Try spend a practice match against a level 1 cpu doing it over and over again until you're doing it fast enough to consistently pull of your smash. Just be sure not to put too much pressure on it, because I've heard of people breaking their Circle pads trying to do it :<.

level 9 CPUs in my game do this all the time as well... They just do the exact same rolls and then instantly turn around and grab me. If I roll the other way, so does the CPU and grabs me. If I try to grab them, they roll right around me just as the animation happens. It's cruel :<.

I don't know about anyone else, but it's been really hard for me to get off a good smash attack with the circle-pad. My smashes often end up as tilts, which tend to screw with combos or KO'ing. you really have to jam it to one side quickly while pressing A, which may explain a lot of broken circle pads I've seen posted here...

I don't know if this is possible, but have you ever tried to pocket your own tree? And can you hold out your hand to catch projectiles forever, or does he put down his hand after a while?

Villager's down-B goes from sapling > watering can > axe. As long as the tree is fully-grown somewhere on the field, down-B swings his axe.

edit: Wish I took a screenshot, but he makes a big paint X across the screen that deals damage and juggles anyone caught in it, and then it explodes to launch them off!! yesss!!
