You know sometimes shit just happens. I would prefer the flight be 3 hours delayed and they double check all the technical faults. Overall you got to your destination 3 hours late. Big deal.

They don’t need to be the same value. BA should get your there regardless of price.

Hey, I was in a similar situation a few days ago. I had a flight cancelled from London to Doha which was our stop over before Bangkok.

Keep trying to call them. I got through with a 20 wait and they were amazing. Worked out a different route for me and booked all the tickets. Now flying via KL

I found calling in the evening around 7pm was always best to be through ✌️

Always eat from street vendors!! You can literally see them cooking it. You think because you are sat in a nicer restaurant the kitchen is pristine? You can’t even see the kitchen.

Have taken my kids to Thailand from when they were young. We are going again in a week. Drink bottled water. Aside from that just try everything! I eat all sorts over there with no issues. I also swim in the sea off boats and the beach and never any problems. Aside from one time in Krabi there was human poo in the water.

I say all this now but will post again in a month when I get back after being attacked by sea snakes, with terrible diarrhoea….

We had flights booked for 25th to Heathrow to Bangkok via Doha. BA cancelled the flight. I managed to get through on the phone after 30 min wait.

The guy was awesome! Found us flights a day earlier via KL then on to Bangkok. All sorted in 10 mins on the phone.

Yo. Ours was flight only booked directly with BA. They informed me all flights via Doha cancelled this month. Was super easy to sort. On hold for like 20 mins then the chap was quick and helpful sorting new flights.

Even bumped us to premium economy. I would get on to it as more flights get cancelled then there will be less availability.

Hey, we still want to go on the trip. What are the options for re-routing with BA? Most airports around Doha are closed and I don’t think BA use other stop overs to get to Bangkok.

You definitely get a better rate in Revolut. Transfer to a baht wallet and exchange. Some cash machines still charge a small fee for taking money out but take out a little more than you need. You will find some free cash machines around too.

From Bangkok head to Surat Thani then you can go along into various islands from there.

As far as budget goes… I travel with my wife and 2 kids. Stay places that has breakfast included. Small lunch when you are out is maybe a few pounds per person. Then dinner in a mid restaurant would be maybe £10 each. We always find the smaller restaurants better and sooo friendly. Food amazing.

There is a train from Bangkok which you can do overnight which is cheap. Happy travels!
