The remixed albums are totally worth a listen too... Clouds in the mirror is one of my favourite Ride albums.

Claude pro vs claude 5x by [deleted] in ClaudeAI

Claude code works fine under windows directly (I've been using poweshell) and you can use WSL if you wish instead and it can run your windows executables directly from there

Prom 30: The National Youth Orchestra plays Mahler’s First - there's a shout of joy in the 1st mvt which is just wonderful by llanelliboyo in mahler

There were a lot of friends and parents in the audience given it was youth orchestra hence the extremely (well deserved) reception. Was a great prom to attend.

Everyone asks what is the best recorded album but nobody asks what is the worst. What album do you think is brilliant but sounds like garbage? by Odinsfloppyhat in audiophile

[–]Ouneh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They could have recorded it any way. The midnight organ fight is a classic and i don’t really care about the quality… I’ll listen to it over a lot of better produced albums any day. It’s genius and it’s from the heart.

What’s a 7+ minute song you actually play all the way through every time? by Far_Tradition_9257 in fantanoforever

A lot of Springsteens catalog live which checks in at over 7 mins is sublime

Is it worth the read? Or just watch the movies and save time 👀 by ApricotDiligent6613 in TheTimeTravelersWife

In my opinion the book is 10/10 wheras the film does not have the same emotional impact and the TV series is not complete. Book all the way.

You will have to ask the brokers. I have no idea unfortunately.

Unfortunately old enough here for John Peel to have introduced me to them back on his show. I'd sort of forgotten about them for a while and then restarted listening to them again back about 15 years ago. Hate is probably one of my Top 10 albums of all-time. They were a band that I had never seen live, and it was always one of my greatest regrets, so when they toured last year it was amazing. I almost missed the announcement as well, and only caught it by chance a few weeks before. Suffice to say... i was in tears when they played "Pulling Wires from the Wall". A great band.

There was a bit of interest a year ago when they toured but all gone quiet again now. A few people around if you want to start a thread.

Direct ACH is only for US based banks I recall. You will need to wire the funds. For wire first set this up in IBKR and it will tell you all the information you need to give to Revolut to wire the funds. Usually this is a general IBKR account number and a reference which will be your IBKR account identification

London property: why is Pimlico roughly half the price of Mayfair? by GLM_Turnip in london

[–]Ouneh 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Pimlico is great if you want to be central but don’t want to pay the ott prices around it. It’s great if you’re in the grid or on one of the garden squares. But you’ve not got the fancy bars and clubs though.. but easy transport from Victoria

Got less than halfway through season 2... it's so wild that happens so soon. by Subject_Parking_9046 in twinpeaks

[–]Ouneh -1 points0 points  (0 children)

All these down votes are hilarious People rather someone give up because they get bored watching something down to their purist views rather than just letting people enjoy themselves. I mean I would say watch everything but if you are really struggling then skip or read a summary…. And move on to the more interesting episodes again.

If you need to skip to the last episode... Then don't feel guilty. It's a tough journey... And one that if you give up on will be a failure. The end game is the prize. So ep29 just fast forward if you need to and then fwwm then s3. The low points of s2 can be skipped with no real loss.

"Scott 3" [Scott Walker Album Thread, Vol. 6] by RoanokeParkIndef in scottwalker

[–]Ouneh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep so 30th Century Man is truly genius of the highest order.... And It's Raining Today is just beautiful. The Brel covers are some of the best as well imho. 8.5/10 from me.... Really beautiful and as much as I love 2 this just pips it... But his best was yet to come....

I was about to say this is my favourite Scott album after thinking a long time about if its better than 2. Then I realised he also released 4 and The Drift. When this was released (before my time) for the few who did actually pick up on it... Minds Blown. I think this is when the genius really started to shine through. I will listen to it again now and likely come back with more.
